This place is excellent! Found it by mistake but couldn't be better! We all had burritos packet full of ingredients. I had a super burrito with the spicy chicken. I particularly liked the cilantro and onion mix. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and will definitely make this a repeat stop on our annual trip to Nawlins

Have heard great things about the margaritas for years, but never stopped in. We had no idea what we were missing. Fish tacos were great, guacamole chips and salsa tasted fresh and fixin bar was nice addition. BTW...try the margaritas

Everything is basically ala carte which we didn't realize until after we got our food. I only got 2 tacos for $6 and had to go back and order chips and dip because I was still hungry. Also you stand in line while you tell them what items you want on your food. My tacos were really good but won't... More

I would have given Felipe's five stars if the bartender remembered to bring us some water. Otherwise, what a great surprise!!! If you have been to Moe's or Qdoba and stood in line to order, that is the same deal here. But, it is real Mexican. The super burrito with carnitas is excellent. And, they have a full device bar.... I made sure to return to Felipe's when coming back to New Orleans for the second time. This place has some of the best Mexican food I have ever had in a restaurant. It gives you a great value for the price. This is a perfect place to eat if you just want to grab a quick bite when you... More

While attending a conference in the Convention District, my coworkers and I walked around late one night looking for a place to grab a light meal. We stumbled upon Felipe's about an hour before they closed. Ordering was a bit different from other restaurants but not so difficult so as to prevent you from getting what you want. The burrito... Felipe's is a great place to grab a quick dinner and enjoy cocktails. They have great happy hour drink specials everyday. The food is tasty and comes out fast. I love the Sangria and the Margaritas. The chips and salsa are very good as well as the tacos. Give it a try if you would like a change from Poboys.

My partner and I visited New Orleans in early April 2014. I am a lover of Mexican Food, so while I know we were in New Orleans and it is all about Southern / Cajun / Seafood – I knew I would have to hit up a Mexican joint at some point. Based on I read on TripAdvisor I figured... More

We actually ate at the Felipe's on Carrolton (mid-city) but I can't find it on Trip Advisor. Since it's a chain I thought I'd review it here. We ended up at Felipe's Mid-City after a family trip out to City Park via the streetcar. We were tired of fighting crowds and paying too much for average food, and Mexican sounded... More
