What a great surprise! We were on our way to some shops when we were caught in a cloud burst. No umbrella and soaked to the skin, we took refuge in Felipe's. Decided to wait out the rain, had a fun afternoon, best Marguerita's, freshly squeezed key limes, shaken and salted. Returned two days later for a flavour-filled lunch. You... More

$4 Capirinhas on Mondays! So delicious (coming from a native Brazilian) and the Hurricanes?? Real passion fruit juice. Best in NOLA. If you get Christin as your bartender, start feeling lucky.

Stopped by here for lunch during our NOLA visit, and was pleasantly surprised! Awesome food, great chill atmosphere. Lots of places to sit, and a nice bar.

My friend had a craving for chips and salsa. Being from Los Angeles I was not to sure about what we would find in the French Quarter. Found this place and we decided to give it a whirl! It was really good and hit the spot! The queso dip and the al pastor pork were really tasty!

This place was a nice break from all the Cajun cuisine I had been eating. The food while not outstanding was good and full of flavor. Some might compare this place to Moe's. However, that would be an injustice; Felipe's is way better. For those in the central Florida area, it reminded me of Tijuana Flats. Like TJ's, Felipe's has... More

We sat at the bar and sampled their house margarita. Wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good either. Food looks like a Mexican version of Subway. But with one extra, you can season at will at the condiment station with a selection of peppers and whatnot. Prices looked reasonable and servings looked large. I was most impressed by the large... Amazing food, I am not a fan of "subway" like restaurants but this is great food! Lots of locals so you know its not too pricey, excellent menu - fish tacos were amazeballs. Taco soup spoke to my soul, the deep fried chimis were a delight to my tastebuds. Clean, family style or you can take your food upstairs to... More

Kind of crazy to eat Mexican food while in new Orleans but....we had been walking all day. It was drippy and raining and we were hungry but didn't want a lot. Happened to walk by Felipe's and thought of tortilla soup called us in. Quite satisfying and flavorful. Nice chunks of fresh avacado. Just what we needed.

My husband and I ordered the tacos. My husband ordered 3 and I ordered two. I was initially concerned about the small size of the tacos. They are the smallest I had seen. But they give you 2 corn tortillas per taco and fill them generously. My husband ordered 3 different meats, al pastor, tandi chicken and chorizo. He said... More
