Had the fried oyster plate with a some boiled crawfish on the side. Oysters were fresh but had zero flavoring and breaking texture was average. Came with fries, butter *soaked* bread, shredded iceberg lettuce, pickles, and a tomato slice. Boiled crawfish were cooked with some spice but expect them cold. Average on the whole but they get four stars for... More

The staff is so nice and helpful. Best crawfish, best corn, really good seasoning not too salty. The crabs are so good right now and the selection of fish is always good. Stuffed artichoke good too. Only complaint is they close at 7pm.

The plates here are awesome. One of my favorites is the fish/shrimp plate with fries. The batter that they use is like no other! Crawfish are also EXCELLENT.

Corn and potatoes are excellent with the boiled shrimp or crawfish. Food is not too salty like some places. the fish is fresh and delicious. I have never had a complaint or bad experience. Love this little market.

I picked up a dozen boiled crabs from KJean today. This was the first time that I got crabs from Kjean. They were large and hot but the meat had a stringy, over cooked taste and all the claws had fallen off of the crabs in the boil. That happens when the crabs are not iced down before the boil.... I found this restaurant thanks to internet reviews, and when I mentioned it to our tourguide, he was very impressed - it's much more of a locals' place. When we arrived, I could see why: it's extremely bare-bones, but clean, and they offered exactly what we'd been looking for and couldn't find anywhere else in NOLA - basic boiled seafood.... More

As a tourist you will not get into here and no one in French quarter will know about it. It's more a seafood store where they locals buys their seafood to take home: However: this is the place with cheapest and freshest seafood we could find. You sit at uncomfortable chairs facing the wall and eat absolutely stunning crawfish, crab... More
