I have been going here for several years, I have watched this blossom into a restaurant where reservations are suggested at night... This did not happen because of some fancy over rated chef that cuts corners or uses crap ingredients ie John Besh ... This is real food that is prepared by folks that love clean fresh food, vegan and... More

needed a break from the New Orleans fried treats. loved the food. E. salad and rIco sandwich - both very yummy (albeit the plaintains on base of sandwich were bland). Order at counter and pay when you leave. very prompt service. Would go back! Not for the average American who likes huge servings, fried food, etc.

Found this place randomly looking on my phone. From the second you walk in the door to the time you leave the service is awesome. Awesome vibe with a blend of Brazilian/vegan/amazingness

Tried this as it was close to the WWII museum. Ordered and shared the Esmeralda salad and Rico "sandwich". The salad was good and fair sized. Plenty of quinoa which is enjoyable from time to time. The Rico consisted of pulled pork on a plantain "biscuit". Good flavor and chew. While the items we tried were certainly decent, they weren't... More

I was in town for a conference at the Hyatt Regency on Loyola about a half mile away and decided to stop into Carmo based on other trip advisor reviews. I had 1 lunch and 2 dinners and would recommend this restaurent to all who happen to be visiting NOLA and need a break from overstuffed po'boys and fried fish.... More

4 vegans in New Orleans were happy enough with Carmo's to go twice in 2 days for breakfast. I had the vegan French toast, which was a little unusual but really good! Others has the tofu scramble, avocado mash, and home fries - we were all happy!

Ate here after visiting the WW2 museum. It's an easy walk from the museum and in the middle of the art galleries on Julia Street. The Rico sandwich was exceptional and all the other food was very good. Highly recommended.

The best restaurant close to the WW2 museum. The ricou is awesome and the waiter are very kind. With a cocktail, the best way to spend a good time.
