I can always count on consistency at Mr John's. Steak, service, ambience. .. All good and try to go whenever I'm in the area.

As a group of four who have travelled extensively and eaten at some of the best steakhouses in the world including Argentina, this was one of the best. From the ambience, the food, the service, even the manager coming by to check on us was exceptional. This is a must go to place for anyone.

Visiting for 1 week from California, We noticed that for most of the restaurants we visited here in New Orleans, service was not very good. So by this last day we had decided that this was not a city geared towards service, just food. Well Mr. John's Steakhouse changed our minds. We were very impressed with the warmth and service... This is the most delicious steak dinner that I have had in New Orleans. The sides were incredible and the filets were tender, cooked just right, and very tasty. I recommend making a reservation since this restaurant is usually very busy. This is a must do for steak lovers.

While in New Orleans we booked one nice dinner and after looking at reviews and the menu we chose Mr. Johns and I am glad we did! My husband and I both started off with soup. I had the crawfish corn bisque and my husband had the French onion soup, these were both a great start to a great meal!... More

Our meal at Mr. John's Steakhouse was delicious! There are seven in our group and each of us has very different in tastes and we are opinionated. Yet, each of us loved the dining experience at Mr. John's Steakhouse. The service was attentive without being fawning. Most importantly the food was delicious. The appetizers of onion rings, mushroom caps, onion... More

We had not heard anything about this restaurant, but it was right next door to our hotel, so we took a chance and walked in for dinner. Turned out to be one of the best filets I've had and I've eaten at some of the "best" steakhouses in the world. The onion soup was really good - and not too... More

Visited this restaurant for lunch. We were on our way to a tour of Garden District. We loved the food - we had fried green tomatoes and bookmaker salad. Great service too!

Had the French onion soup and the who dat shrimp. Both excellent! Our entree was a ribeye and a filet. Both were cooked perfectly and generous portions. We split a loaded baked potato. I highly recommend this steakhouse. Enjoy.
