Bad news: If you are looking for a classic New Orleans restaurant, this isn't really it. Good news: its actually a lot better. I can't say enough good things about my meal here. Great atmosphere & decor. Enticing menu... it was impossible to settle on one menu item. Expertly-mixed cocktails. The staff was friendly and hospitable. Each member of the... More

I really liked the French fries and Champagne pairing. And the place is absolutely gorgeous. It's hidden at the end of a long corridor and there is a beautiful courtyard. However, the food was "ok". Given the atmosphere of the place, I was expecting more. I had a pulled pork sandwich and the bread was wet. Maybe they were having... More

The food was good, service prompt and good enough, but the place is so loud you cannot even talk to people at your own table. Some sound-attenuation material on the ceiling would do wonders for the place. Three people: an appetizer, three dinners, two glasses of house wine and two complementary sorbets. $148

Visited this little gem upon our arrival into New Orleans on 7/11. Started our meal with the beef belly and the single most delicious Ramos Gin Fizz I've ever had the pleasure to drink. One charcuterie plate, a chocolate pot de creme and three more Gin Fizz's later I was on cloud nine. Give it a try...it's incredible

It was a great spot for a business dinner for five. I'd say that three of the five dishes served were top of the charts and the others weren't far behind. The papperdelle Bolognese , while very good, could have been better, but I'm very picky about this dish. The fish dishes were all spectacular. For starters, how can you... More

While traveling for business with colleagues, we chose Sylvain for dinner. The atmosphere is very nice at night- dark and cozy. We chose to purchase traditional New Orleans hats from Goorin bros before dinner and placed our white hats on the back of our chairs- then ordered red wine which was delicious but our server accidentally spilled some red wine... First, Food and Service would make this a must do, but the noise was so loud we could not hear each other across the table. We almost left, but then another two-top opened up and we were moved and it was loud, but bearable. My wife found a duck dish that she said was better than the one from the... More

4 of us had dinner here on a Thursday night. We shared several appetizers which were all well received. My shrimp and homing were okay but I expected a bit more flavor and the portion was small. Lots of different grains were on the menu: hominy, farro which was unique. As the restaurant filled up after 7:30, we could barely... More

We came at around 6 PM on a weekday and were one of the only parties there, so we got the courtyard all to ourselves. An A/C unit interfered with the tranquility of the experience, but the courtyard itself was beautiful. We had the shaved brussel sprouts salad, squash griddle cakes, and papardelle, and all but the pasta was very... More

The chocolate pot de creme for dessert was delicious! Also, the waitress was fantastic - energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic about all the restaurant had to offer. I recommend giving this place a try.
