We tried K-Paul's and Nolas on our late arrival into NO and both stopped serving food. I asked the guy at Nola's what's opened at 10pm. He suggested Sylvain so off we went. Suri helped us find it very close by. We only had a few things but first I enjoyed the local craft beer LA 31. My husband had... More

I had a friend in town from NYC and I suggested Sylvain as one of the restaurants we dined at out of all the great NOLA restaurants because I thought it would be a great choice to show off what's going on in the culinary scene here these days. I'm sorry to say the experience was very disappointing. First of... More

A chef I know and respect, and whose restaurant in new Orleans I have frequented recommended this place and I was very pleased by it. Menu is diverse, service is very helpful and attentive, atmosphere is great and the food was fantastic. The price was a bit higher than advertised here, more like $30-40 per person, and I was disappointed... More

Came on recommendation from Laura's candy store (which was awesome). It was a good meal although we were seated right outside the kitchen and bathroom. Food was good. To some it would be too bland (wife had chicken sandwich and I had the homemade pasta with meat sauce). Good meal. Pretty reasonable price / value.

The service was excellent. Our waiter, Zipa, was great. I had the pan seared drum. It was awesome! My husband said the duck was very good. The room is a little dark, so bring your iPhone to see the menu.

We met some locals that took us to this restaurant. It was an exceptional dining experience. They have southern and gourmet figured out. Go and enjoy!

On our first night in the Big Easy, found this spot! All dishes were apparently made to order as it took quite a while for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait! Delicious ! Will definitely visit this spot again on our next trip!

Great little restaurant within walking distance of any hotel in the French Quarter. The Duck Confit was the best I've had.

The food was fantastic, the atmosphere cool and inviting, the staff excellent (loved our waitress, Jacki) - in a town known for its food this place stood out! My favorite thing was their Sweetbreads in Homemade Buffalo Sauce (!!) - simply amazing! Drinks were great too. Go!

My husband and I had a spectacular dinner at Sylvain's last night. Really one of the best meals I've had in recent memory. We started with the crostini - perfect with a cocktail. I had the Pan-fried Pork Shoulder for my entree and he had the duck confit with sausage and white beans (sort of a deconstructed cassoulet.) Both were... More
