Saw the reviews on the internet of the Top Ten breakfast places in the French Quarter and this was on the edge and was included as number 11. I think if you’re into different styles of breakfast you might like this place. How ever if your from the Midwest and want some country cooking for get it. The food choices... More

As a Northerner, I really never got into grits. I tried them at Red Gravy and liked them with my lunch. A bunch of us went for lunch after one person was given a high recommendation to this restaurant. There was about 6 of us at first, but when a 7th person showed up, we requested an empty second table,... More

The owner Roseanne met us at the door, squeezed us in and the food, service and atmosphere were awesome. Got the Roe's breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Service wasn't fast but food that good takes time to make properly. Waiter was awesome!!

Like Momma's meatballs! For restaurant cooking, can pass as home prepared. Delicious red-gravy (New Orleans tag for red sauce but with pizzazz & local seasonings. The menu is pricy but for a special occasion treat yourself.

Sounds bizarre but you need to give this a try. The omelet with meatball, ricotta, and red gravy was awesome. The red gravy is Italian speak for marinara. Add garlic bread and rosemary potatoes and what an excellent breakfast. It was readily apparent that the ingredients were very fresh and probably organic. The bread was homemade. I will be back.

The food was fine, the wait staff bubbly but when the bill came they refused to split it between 6 of us, presenting us with one bill. 20 minutes later we calculate the difference and they pick it up pissed off. We wait another 10 minutes and they cant figure out how to let us pay individually. No real apology.... More

Ma'am, it's not that we refused to split your check 6 ways, it's that we are unable to accommodate that request. As our menu states we cannot accommodate more than 2 checks per table and that must be requested when you initially place your order. We did our very best to accept 6 different forms of payment, each with a... More

Red Gravy is a must for a late breakfast/brunch when in NOLA. It is very popular and has strong local followings even with multiple locations. There are touches of classic and Cajun as well, in a setting that can be best described as part diner and part bistro. We shared a Florentine eggs Benedict and one of their house specialties,... We ended up in Red Gravy after our Yelp selection turned out to have incorrect info and was closed. We'd read about it in a local guide, but weren't too keen on the idea of 'red gravy' for breakfast. Sooo, glad we took a chance. The restaurant itself is tiny, charming and maybe a block off canal. My mom had... More
