Eclectic Decor, Friendly Staff, Great Breakfast Spot

I was looking for a 'local spot' for breakfast prior to my departure from New Orleans. I had only a couple hours to find a place nearby that does takeout food so that I could return to my beautiful suite @ LaQuinta Hotel on Camp St and enjoy every bite in peace. Thank you so much! I'm so pleased you enjoyed the Polpetta! I love making the assorted pottery items we use in the restaurant, and even sell so much of it, too. Unfortunately, I am not the person who handmakes our beaded lamps. Those are made by an artist on Magazine Street. I'd be happy to forward you that information if... More

My girlfriend and I went for brunch and were impressed by everything we ordered, especially the eggs florentine and the grits!

I highly suggest making a reservation for this wonderful cafe. It is a small place but the food doesn't know it! The food is soul-warming and the staff is very attentive!

This place was absolutely delicious. The owner was super cool and seated us promptly. The table was set with colorful pottery and the ambiance was nice too. The hot coffee and heavy cream went perfectly together and the local one man band in the back made the place extra special. I had the chicken and waffles with the most tasty... More

We walked past this small restaurant that isn't open all the time, boasting awards from almost all the rating agencies in the window. We made sure we got there when it was open and it was absolutely worth it. The food was deliciously different and the service excellent

For years, I've heard great things about Red Gravy. My wife and I finally visited, finding it was right next door to our hotel. It was crowded and there is no room inside to wait. The owner, a little groughly, takes your name and directs you outside to wait. Around 11 am on a weekend morning, there was a 30... More

Thank you so much for coming in and posting your review. We do get quite busy on weekends and often have a wait. I thank you for your patience. I'm sorry you found our prices to be higher than expected. Our pasta is all handmade using imported flour and yard eggs. We only source from small, local farms, ranches, fisheries... More

My husband and I stopped in for lunch. Neat, small and quiet. He enjoyed red gravy (homemade spaghetti sauce) with pasta and a homemade meatball. The meatball was HUGE and full of flavor. I had carbonara and it was out of This world. It was creamy, loaded with peas and to top it off it had a sweet Taste. Really... More

My husband and I visited there Saturday morning for a late breakfast. Even though there were a few people waiting we got seated right away...I think b/c it was just the two of us. They had a banjo player singing with a soulful raspy voice that really added to the ambiance. Our waitress was super friendly and recommend the Roe's... More

It was indeed a different kind of breakfast. Everything we ordered was delicious! The place is clean and close to Canal Street and the French Quarter.

The food was amazing but the staff lacked the friendly personality necessary to manage the long wait for a table.
