A great place on Frenchmen!

This place was recommended to us by a local and we decided to check it out. We can reserve a table ahead of time and it states that we can have the table for 90 minutes since it is a small place. I made an online reservation for 8.45 which was appropriate as the place closes at 10pm and we... read more

We stopped by for a light dinner before the parade. I loved the scallops, tasted rabbit pate (very good) and had a great cocktail. The musicians were fabulous and very entertaining, even though I was expecting jazz and they played country western.

I visited New Orleans solo and wanted to experience a meal with some music. That combined with experiencing Frenchman Street drew me to Three Muses. I visited midweek in late January. I didn’t have a reservation but got in the moment it opened. I was seated right away and asked if I had a preference of where to sit (close... More

We just happened in the 3 Muses because it was one of the only places open on a Wednesday night serving food. They serve small, appetizer style portions (think Tappa's). We ordered a little bit of everything and we were not disappointed in anything we got. We LOVED the bacon wrapped dates! The live music was awesome as well!

We had a great time. Wonderful food and super music. Excellent surroundings. Wait staff were quick and the tapas was so tasty. Moderate cost but great value.

Excellent food, music and drinks. Definitely worth the wait. We ordered an array of share platters that were each sensational.

My friend and I made a reservation here for dinner and drinks after seeing the great reviews online! We showed up about 15 minutes before our reservation and the hostess outside said we could wait at the bar. Once we grabbed a seat, our bartender (who was amazing, I wish I could remember her name! Lots of tattoos!) let us... More

Our timing was perfect to belly up to the bar - if not expect to wait on a Friday Night - very appropriate greeting and attention by the bartender - had good bar vision, something not found everywhere. I had a fun rum drink she recommended, and my wife really enjoyed her Mojito - The music was fun too -... More

3 Muses is an interesting mixture. It is, I suppose, like old fashioned supper clubs, where you could get a good meal while listening to good live music. We went on a night when the Hot Club of New Orleans was playing and we greatly enjoyed the music, the food and the libations. It was a great evening for us.... More

All of Frenchman's Street is hopping to a lively beat but in most other clubs, the only way to listen is standing, drink in hand, shoulder to shoulder with the other music lovers. Not so the Three Muses. If you reserve far enough ahead, you can get a table with a perfect view of the tiny stage, listen to world-class... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
