Excellent music, but expensive food

If you are in New Orleans for the jazz, do go to Three Muses....the level of music we heard there was very different from most of the other places. You will need to reserve - and bear in mind, you will be asked to wind up in 2 hours. That's a bit odd, and bugs one esp if the music... read more

The food here is served tapas style, so order a few dishes, sit back and listen to the music. The food is OK, but nothing really exceptional, and little bit overpriced. The music here though was awesome. We saw Washboard Rodeo, and I swear they had a guitar, mandolin, ukulele, violin, piano and washboard. It was one of the coolest... More

We arrived sans reservations and were told there would be an hour wait. The hostess was busy and when I had to ask her if she might think it would be a good idea to at least ask for our names to hold a table for us. She was quite dismissive and when we returned an hour later she showed... More

On our first night in New Orleans, we decided to stop by the Three Muses before heading out to listen to music. Had no idea how great the music at the Three Muses would be! On top of they had some fantastic food. Our favorites by far were the Bulgogi rice bowl and fish tacos. Both were amazingly flavorful! I... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local resident. It is a very small restaurant, but the food is absolutely delicious. We did not have a reservation so ended up eating at the bar. I would recommend making a reservation if you want to sit at a table and listen to the live authentic jazz music. I ate the... More

A smaller, cozier and more low key place to listen to jazz and enjoy some tapas. The fact that they make their own ginger beer for my Dark and Stormys was a big plus for me. The bartenders were all very gracious and it is definitely a place to return to!

My 6 buddies and I began our visit to NOLA at the Three Muses. The drinks were great. If you are into unique cocktail blends, try the Earl Grey Gardens and/or the Champagne Supernova. We shared a number of small meals. They were all good, but my favorites were the Three Muses Fries, the Tempura Shrimp, and especially the Moroccan... More

Get out of the French Quarter and wander over to Frenchmen St for great food and great music. Looking forward to a return visit to Three Muses - phenomenal food - all of the dishes are small and to be shared and fantastic. Music was excellent and service is incredibly fast. Reservations are a must and hold your table for... More

It was a rainy night on Frenchman Street, but the quirky, lively ambiance inside the restaurant warmed us right up. The cocktails were delicious, as were the dishes we had - Crawfish Diavola (black buccatini with spicy tomatoes), Three Cheese Macaroni, and Fries with feta and parsley. The jazz was fantastic, so smooth and perfect to listen to while eating.... More
