Best wheat pancakes in the world!

Stopped by while shopping in the French Market. Small, quaint, fresh, quality food. They are famous for their crab cakes too!!! Great price.

Although we are not big fans of crab cakes this place is well know as having some of the best in New Orleans and decided to have their Poboy special with them. Happy to have it on a whole wheat bread with a side of vegetables and it was very nice to not only have good food but eat healthy... More

We stopped at Meals From the Heart for a quick lunch while browsing the French Market. The Crab cake po'boy was more than enough to split between two people. The best part of the meal however was the crawfish pie. It was a very small serving for $5, but the taste was delicious. Would definitely recommend this little stop on... More

Heard about this place on a culinary food tour of the French Quarter. Made to order, so be patient, could take up to 20 minutes to get your food. Very fresh seafood! We ordered a crab cake poboy - it was pretty good on very fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, with great sauce. Was not our favorite food in NOLA... More

I had the Gumbo and John had the veggie omelette. Super tasty on both and the gentleman running the stand was just a great guy!! Gumbo was not too spicy and they had lots of hot sauce options if you enjoy a little fire on your food. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice sweet pick me up with the... More

In the middle of the farmers market is this small little food stand with very limited counter seating, 8 people maybe 10, but they are making to order fresh organic plates that are jam packed with flavor. The staff is very friendly, patient and genuinely cares about the food they are preparing. I had the Crab Cakes Po Boy and... More

This is a wonderful spot - healthy and delicious food in the French Market. The staff are amazing - very well-informed about the menu and eager to offer recommendations. The crab cakes were the best I've ever had, and the veggie omelette I had alongside it was amazing. I'm not a vegan or gluten intolerant, which this restaurant easily caters... More

We were aware that this little stand in the French Market had good crab cakes. Yes, they are good AND they are rare. Rare because they had much more crab meat that "filling" or binder. We've had crab cakes that were purported to be the best of Baltimore but this place takes the 'CAKE'!!!! We were there at lunch time... More

This is a small counter with stools (and an enclosed kitchen behind the counter) in an open area of the market, so it can be a bit chilly in winter (and presumably hot in summer) but that wasn’t a serious problem - just wear a jacket. The owner/counter guy is a really nice retired New Orleans police officer. I was... More

The people were nice and I went there for the crab cakes. Sadly the crab cakes were not as good as people had indicated. The dipping sauce was too spicy for me. The crab did not seem as fresh as other places I have been. Not to mention this is just a little place in the middle of the french... More
