Best biscuits and mushroom gravy ever!

My only complaint was that, after having biscuits and gravy from their cafe, that when I went back the next day, before I left NOLA, it was closed! The boudin and duck sausage starter was maybe the best appetizer that we enjoyed out of 6 big meals in the Big Easy. The citrus salad, the green goddess wedge and the chili lime mango salads were all terrific. The Roilled Uttapam, while it had good flavors, was just too gooey. It would have been better to have left the... More

My family and I really loved the food here. It's terrific to get excellent vegetarian fare in NOLA French Quarter!

Had several delicious meals and cocktails at The Green Goddess which has several vegetarian choices which pleased our 2 travelling friends. Food was interesting with new combinations to try. Very conveniently located to our Hotel Monteloene in a quiet mall thoroughfare with outdoor eating. Highly recommended and well priced.

Food here is exceptional, fresh, very tasty - veggie offerings are superb, 10 out of 10. Would definitely recommend this little gem. Only outside seating available but its worth being a touch warm to taste the wonderful food. Staff very helpful and service is very prompt.

This was our third trip to New Orleans, and we've eaten at the Green Goddess each time. It's still one of our favorite restaurants. Delicious!

NOLA has a deserved reputation for some extraordinary food. However, vegans may find themselves a bit marginalised since there's not always much for them on most restaurant menus. The Green Goddess is a charming exception. Located in Exchange Place (about 7-8 mins stroll from Jackson Square), it's small and offers only street side dining, but in a pedestrians-only plaza. The... More

The best meal I’ve had in New Orleans was not a greasy po-boy or a heartburn-inducing etouffee. Instead it was a plate of flaky sweet potato biscuits lathered in delicious mushroom gravy with a side of mouth-watering manchego cheese grits at Green Goddess. Be sure to add the duck eggs as well. The only downside to the restaurant is the... More

I stopped by this place for a quick dinner during a 2014 work related training conference. This place stands out as one of the best meals I have ever had. The folks in the kitchen are very talented. The super friendly staff are helpful and my only complaint was that it can get busy. I ate here for both lunch... More

Ate here for lunch first thing after arriving to New Orleans. It was all outdoor seating. Most tables had shade or umbrellas. The place is tucked away in a quiet little alley. Extensive vegetarian menu. Great meat options also. PROS: Truffled manchego grits Smoked duck and shrimp bahn mi sandwich Patio seating on a beautiful day CONS: Finding old lipstick... More
