NOLA Favorite

NOLA is my favorite vacation spot in the U.S. and the Green Goddess is my favorite restaurant in NOLA. They always have seasonal options (I had a crusted tofu dish with brussel sprouts on my last visit) as well as some delicious staples (winter root vegetable salad is always on point). They always... read more

The best place to go after a big night on Bourbon Street. Tucked away in a quiet alley, you'll have a great table to enjoy the ourdoors. The food is unique and delicious. We especially enjoyed the sweet potato biscuits with mushroom gravy and the meatloaf sandwich. Truly a fantastic spot!

So, we only found heavy delicious food in New Orleans, and not too many healthy options. This is THE healthy options and was great for us. We shared two salads and a juice and a tea and were set for the rest of the day. It has a sweet courtyard to rest and eat, and it was a nice change... More

We sat outside on a beautiful sunday. The wait staff was accommodating but what excited me most was the amazing food. I had crawfish cakes with poached eggs and cheese grits, the special - so good. My husband had the duck breast pancake. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for brunch with creole flair!

You want some real good food in a real hole in the wall place. This is a must place for dinner. With outstanding cocktails and an amazing selection of flavors in each dinner plate. Been here twice and each time the experience was beyond amazing. I would love to recommend one dish however all the dishes we ordered were just... More

The Greeg Goddess is a tad difficult to find if you use the popular tourist map as Exchange Place begins on Canal Street but does not go straight through the French Quarter. Whatever - it's worth the seeking out. The place is small - maybe a handful of tables and if the front is full, they'll seat you in the... More

When travelling in NOLA, you won't be disappointed if you can find this little whole-in-the-wall. My spouse was there on business...of course, I had to go (for moral support). This little eclectic gem was just a block down from our hotel. Luckily, we got there on Saturday night, as we found out that they're closed on Monday and Tuesday. First,... More

Yes, you can eat healthy in New Orleans. The Green Goddess is tucked away in an alley. The entrance doesn't look like an entrance; you might think you're walking into the back kitchen. But it's well worth the find. Tables are tucked into tight places with a couple outside. Really interesting menu. Good vegan and gluten free options. We'll return... More

It's not easy to be a vegan in the French Quarter. The Green Goddess is funky, informal and friendly. Enjoyed a rich and hearty Moroccan Stew on the afternoon we visited. I could not have been happier. Lots of options for all diets as well.

i ordered the special, Oyster, arugual on french bread and it was simply out of this world, melt in your mouth delicious! The seats outside reminded me of any outdoor cafe in Europe. The service was professional yet not snobby. We all ordered different things and everyone loved it so much - we all came back a second time the... More
