When you add mediocre food to a server that acts totally inappropriately, you get a place to which you really don't want to return. Go across the alley to the Pelican Club if you want the alley atmosphere.

Sitting outside in the sun in a beautiful little alley without any car traffic, the setting was very nice for a casual lunch on our second full day in New Orleans. Had a fantastic beetroot-and-pomegranate hummous as a starter. The mains, however, were fine but far from the excitement suggested by some other reviewers and the authors of the most... More

We stumbled upon this place a few years ago when we were visiting. Thank goodness it is still here and better than our last trip. The place is small, primarily with outdoor tables which is where you want to be. The food is creative with a nice blend of vegetarian and carnivore options. We had a carmelized heirloom tomato dish... More

After sampling the breaded crayfish, grilled oysters and other traditional NOLA dishes we four craved some fresh garden food. We ended up at Green Goddess - delightful. And they cater to every taste - from the vegetarian special of the day to bacon sundaes! Very innovative--this place defies classification. Just a little indoor seating; several tables outdoors. Staff was great.

This little restaurant is not much more than a hole in the wall in an alley, leaving one to think twice about eating there. But the food is some of the best I have had in New Orleans, which is hard to believe based upon the 1,300 choices in the city in 2014. The menu is not lengthy, but it... More

Located in a very cure little alley, this restaurant has plenty of veggie friendly food and really nice outdoor seating. The service is a little odd. Not exactly friendly, kind of slow, but nothing specifically terrible. Even though my food was delicious, there wasn't a lot of it, so this would be good if you just want a light supper.... More

The Green Goddess was a delicious escape from the many not-so-healthy, rarely vegetarian options in New Orleans. Tucked away from the busy streets, this little cafe provided so many options for the vegetarians and meat eaters alike in our group. We really enjoyed the sweet potato biscuits with mushroom gravy and manchego truffle grits. Yum! Also good was the Caramelized... More

I'm a vegetarian and my husband is a ravenous carnivore....which sometimes makes choosing a restaurant difficult. We went to the Green Goddess after reading positive reviews and we were not disappointed! The food was deliciously fresh tasting. We had the chef chosen cheese platter, I had the vegetarian special (tofu, glass noodles and salad) and my husband had the broiled... More

Stopped here for a Saturday dinner because it was just close enough to hear the parades on Bourbon Street, but far enough away from the revelry. Unique, delicious menu items, great service, and fabulous desserts.

The sweet potato bisque was oh so very good, wanted to luck the bowl clean. Also an A+ Bloody Mary, wife said the best she has ever had. My favorite meal in New Orleans!
