food good; staff a bit slow

The food for our lunch was very good. The staff wasn't great. There were two people who sort of helped us. One took the order and one brought the food. No one mentioned that there were specials not on the menu. After we had ordered, we heard the waiter tell the next table about them. Water... read more

Fun staff. Incredibly creative menu. love the daily cocktail features that change by bartender. If you have vegetarian, Vegan etc in your group they offer some great options here.

What a refreshing change the Green Goddess is in the French Quarter where many restaurants churn out mediocre food for high prices to tourists and carousers! My husband and I shared the Freekeh salad as an appetizer. Freekeh is raw/green wheat kernels that are roasted. It was served on top of mixed, seasonal greens, with some pickled turnip shavings and... More

You eat in the beautiful cobblestone alleyway/courtyard. It's quiet at night so it can even be considered romantic. The food is wonderful and vegetarian. We will be back.

We read reviews about this place on-line and decided to give it a try. While it's primarily a vegetarian restaurant, they had a yummy brisket special that day. Vegetarian for my daughter and meat dish for me. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening weather and the laid back atmosphere. The food, service and location were all great!

The place is interesting because it's in an alley, but it's not what you're thinking! It's a nice place to dine outside. The main course was alright, but the thing I wish I could eat all day was the bananas foster. Even my daughter, who hates nuts, ate it and loved it and wanted to go back to get it... More

My daughter is vegetarian and raved over her dish. I had the special - Crawfish Cakes, with a wonderful sauce and green caviar (very mild, very good!). Our waitress was so nice. She gave my daughter suggestions for shoe shopping when asked :) . We were going to return, but didn't have time.

As a vegetarian, I was struggling to find hearty meals in NOLA, especially travelling with my meat-eating friend. This was both of our favourite meals. She had the smoke duck and grits, and I had the burutta pane grigliato. The staff was very nice and set up another table for us outside when they realized the patio was full. Highly... More

The day was perfect for outdoor dining and we found a table at 11:30 a.m. By noon, all the tables were full. Husband had crawfish cakes which came with a salad and they were good. I had the sweet potato biscuits with mushroom gravy and cheesy grits and I added two poached eggs. WAAAAY too much food for lunch, but... More

Loved the location, lively and in an alley. Loved the attitude, lowkey, informal. Loved the food (my lamb meatloaf was excellent) . Cocktails were good. Service friendly, lowkey, easygoing. We had a great evening, 5 of us crowded around a smallish table.
