Tasty Bite, Slow Service

Came here for lunch on our first day in New Orleans. My lamb meatloaf sandwich was quite tasty and local strawberry beer, delish. Unfortunately for my husband, they were out of both the cocktail and cuban sandwich he wanted. Our server was very pleasant but took a very long time to take our... read more

I would have rated them higher but the service was pretty slow during our visit. With that said, the food was really tasty.

The food = delicious The staff = cool as cucumbers The Quarter = you know you dig it EVERY visit to NOLA, we stop by this casual eatery for some tasties. One needs some lighter fare to balance out the traditional NOLA food. It keeps us happy and feeling good. We love the patio, tucked in an alley and the... More

Wonderful hidden gem of a restaurant. Very small with few tables so be prepared to wait if you go during a busy time. Food is delicious and wholesome. I particularly recommend their grilled cheese and tomato soup - it takes what should be a boring meal and turns into an orgasm of the taste-buds.

I love how innovative their menu is and it's always so perfectly executed. And I love how intimate it is, it always makes me feel special.

A friend recommended this for lunch and I was seriously impressed with the quality of the food and interesting options. Definitely one of the better meals I had when I was in town. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent food from a very small restaurant. I am not sure they even have indoor seating. It is located in what looks like an alley, the tables are outside and even though they have umbrellas, the afternoon sun beats down with a vengeance. The food is great and the service wonderful. Check them out!

I stopped by The Green Godess twice when I was in New Orleans, once for dinner and once for Sunday brunch, because it was a vegetarian-friendly option close to my hotel. The food was excellent both times. For dinner I had a take on an Indian dosa stuffed with curried vegetables. For brunch I had Manchego cheese grits, poached eggs,... More

If you are looking for a very local experience, something with a hole-in-the-wall feel but with amazing food and good service, this is a place you'd want to check out. Note that while it doesn't have white table cloths, carpeted floors, a hostess table and fancy music, the prices are similar to what you'd pay in a "nice" restaurant. But... More

The bottom line here: we left a 78-cent tip. Worst food, served by worst staff, who forgot half of what we ordered, but billed us anyway. Vegetables tasted like they were cooked in November and we didn't finish a thing. Avoid this vegetarian nightmare!
