Description: We offer the best coffees from around the world roasted locally each week...
We offer the best coffees from around the world roasted locally each week and ground fresh daily! In addition to our extensive choices of coffee, espresso, and teas, we serve fresh made pastries, croissants, breads, muffins, and cinnamon rolls from the best bakeries in New Orleans. Our full menu of sandwiches, paninis, wraps, and salads is served all day, and this is a great spot to people watch overlooking St. Charles Avenue or use our free wifi to get some work done. We are one of only 2 places in New Orleans serving H&H bagels from New York, enjoy them with a flavored cream cheese or fill it with a breakfast sandwich.

Home baked breakfast and brunch items. My favorite is the maple sweet potato and bacon biscuit! I go back very year and get a couple during Mardi Gras!

We found this little cafe down the street from where we were staying, and ended up going there almost every morning we were in town. The service was fast, the staff was very friendly, and the muffins, breads and pastries were quite tasty. If you're looking to grab a quick bite before exploring the city and are in the neighborhood,... More

I stopped here for a fresh juice break. They have a great array and , unlike the smoothie store next door, will happily serve you good old, plain carrot juice. It's a cool joint with high ceilings and an assortment of good looking cakes and staff. Lots of people doing their thing on MacBooks and the like. You get the... More

Came here for breakfast and also got some of the bagels for carry out one day. The bagels are really good and so is the cream cheese. I had a bagel sandwich when we dined in and a carrot juice with ginger, Both were really good. Someone else in my party had the croissant sandwich which I tried and was... More

Finding a really good, safe and quiet place to have that must have morning cup of coffee and something to eat in New Orleans can be a real challenge. If 7-11 is not your ideal of the ideal location, and I hope it is not, then I suggest if you are down on Saint Charles street try Avenue Cafe for... More

After too many days of heavy and fried, I was desperate for something fresh, light, and anything green. Avenue cafe to the rescue. I had the tomato basil quiche with salad, Apple and carrot juice and an iced latte. Hubby had the grilled cheese and soppresetta(?) with a side salad. Everything was delicious. Light, cheerful atmosphere.

When I asked the visitors' center & our hotel to recommend a place for a morning espresso, they all recommended the Avenue Cafe. The espresso was indeed fine but the real surprise was how delicious the food was. After one try, this was the only place I wanted breakfast. The croissants, danish pastry, and cookies were all excellent. The fresh... More

We were staying near the Avenue Cafe and found it by accident. We then went there every day. It is worth a visit for the coffee alone, but the granola and salads also brought us back. There are inside and outside seating areas and the place just represents good value and good food.

Relaxing over a hot latte. Place is bustling yet very quiet due to mindful people. Did not have chance to get fresh grapefruit juice
