I agree with the other review, first it was convenient, then it was very good, exactly what we were hoping for both times we stopped. Very good service, good selection and good coffee, pastries and sandwiches.

First it was convenient, second, while it was "order at the counter and then sit down" the service was very attentive. Many items were familiar foods served in an imaginative way. We did not mind busing our own table.

Just a few blocks from our hotel, this coffee shop became out go-to breakfast place while we were recently in New Orleans. The coffee was excellent, and they have a great selection of bagels, muffins, and pastries. My husband particularly enjoyed the hazelnut cinammon cruffin. The decor is unpretentious, and the service (order at the counter) is friendly.

This is a really well thought out place. The selection of coffee choices is xcellent, and I really like the range of pastries and baked goods. Every choice - the range of sweeteners, milks, including soy and almond - is available in an unpretenious layout. I suspect I'll be going every day I'm in town. The staff is very friendly,... More

This is one of our normal breakfast and coffee stops. They have a nice selection of breakfast sandwiches, quiche, and pastries. The coffee is very good and I've never had a problem with the service here. It is you standard "order at the counter" and they'll bring it to you place. The wifi is also faster than one is used... We were in NOLA for the first time this summer and The Avenue Cafe was our daily start for coffee and a light breakfast. Some of the best coffee I've ever had and I think I tried just about everything. The bagels were delicious, but the almond croissant became my favorite. I've been home for nearly two months and I... The coffee is the best. The juices are great, the pastry, everything. The staff is patient and helpful. We went every morning on our vacation.

My fresh squeezed grapefruit Juice, latte and spinach salad were all spot on. The coffee has slightly burned, yet smooth flavor. Again -good for European ( or seattlean) coffee drinkers! I considered getting Another salad to go, the mild goat cheese, strawberries & walnuts played together so well! There are plenty of outlets for your laptop so this could double... More

we needed a change from the busy french quarter for breakfast and we found this place. The Avenue Cafe is a nice cafe with coffee, baked goods, bagels (with different flavor cream cheese), and sandwichs. It was a wise choice for breakfast. Everything was great

Instead of breakfast we opted to have coffee, bananas and bakery goods. The bakery goods were delicious. I had some really good small chocolate cakes. I would definitely go back to this bakery.
