We loved eating at Domenica. This is a true gem in NOLA and is in a great location! We walked here from our hotel and felt safe the entire time. A meal here is worth the time and money!

Dominica is located in the Roosevelt Hotel, which is the old Waldorf Astoria. The menu has something for everyone, from pizza to rabbit or fish and vegetarian dishes as well. Wonderful atmosphere and a private room for larger parties too.

The setting was modern and sleek, and it didn't feel crowded. Our waiter could tell us about the dishes and what he recommended, and was very polite. Now for the food. For three of us, we ordered the Burrata appetizer, the fried kale, the tagliatelle with rabbit, and the lasagna; this was a lot of food. Our favorite things were... More

This elegant italian restaurant, attached to the Roosevelt hotel has some non-standard dishes you should really try. The pizzas having toppings you'd never think of (carrot?) and some of the other dishes arent what you would think of as your usual italian such as the fried kale and the Burrata, a buttermilk bisquit topped with creamed corn, cheese and caviar.... Beautiful atmosphere. Waiters should write down your order, so you don't keep repeating it to them. Good food. I would eat there again

We went during Happy Hour 2-5pm. The beer prices and wine prices were average during happy hour (1/2 off) and were about $4 to $5 each. The pizzas were also half off ($8-$9) and my we decided to each get one. They were very large and one would have been enough, but we were able to take the rest back... More

The pizza and cheese plate with special "rolls" were excellent. the fried squash was good, but I would probably try the cauliflower next time instead. The dessert with fruit and cream sauce was amazing, and the hazelnut chocolate pudding was good too.

After eating the great indigenous foods of NOLA, we needed a palate break. So we hit the famous restaurateur, John Besh. We were so disappointed. As the adage goes, stick to a chef’s core cuisine. The salumi, salads and stuffed zucchini blossoms were standard. The pasta and pizzas were a great disappointment. Mismatched pizza toppings ( too salty starring capers,... More

I had heard a lot about this place and thought, we would have a fun time. However, I was truly disappointed with the place. Service: Poor would be an understatement here. Waitress didn't come for a while and whenever she was around, she would be in a hurry to get back without listening completely. It's not that we were there... More

Domenica used to be a wonderful treat. They have reduced the menu to a mere shade of its former self. The service, never a strong point, was more than slow and left us feeling invisible. The food was good, just not as great as it has been. I hope John Besh will fix this quickly
