We shared an appetizer that had cow's milk cheese, duck liver paté and some cured meat. Not a huge appetizer, but enough to get you started. We then both ordered pasta, he had rigatoni in a bolognese, I had their tagliatelle ragu with rabbit. His rigatoni was not even al dente, it was chewy. My tagliatelle was actually fettuccine, ugh.... Pizza is terrific (huge) and the best-priced item on the menu. Otherwise, prices are on the high side, but the place was packed. Off the beaten path but worth the visit.

The Domenica is an Italian restaurant in The Roosevelt hotel (Waldorf Astoria hotel). It has great decor, and the tables are well-spaced. The service was fantastic - attentive and friendly. The food was some of the best we have had. The grilled cauliflower was amazing and the Roasted Carrot pizza was fantastic and had very unusual toppings in a good... More

This was my second time to eat here in New Orleans. The roasted cauliflower, fried kale, and house salad was the best I've ever had. Several people sitting around us ordered the pizzas. They looked delicious as well. They are defiantly big enough to share, loaded with fresh ingredients. My only complaint is that we had to eat at the... More

Bread to die for. Home pasta and great service. Will be back for pizza. Prosciutto and cheese also great. Go for half size pasta and have room for second.

Eating here at the Roosevelt, I was able to indulge in one of their speciality pizzas. With a friendly staff and an amazing menu, this seems like a dining destination for either lunch or dinner.

My friends and I really enjoyed our meal. We had the cheese plate and 2 pizzas (which were huge!). Our waiter offered to split the pizzas, so we had 2 types on each pizza and had some really adventurous pizzas - the roasted carrot and gorgonzola with strawberries. All were fantastic. The banana dessert was amazing. I must say our... More

We ate at Domenica's twice on our Spring Break trip. The first was a sit-down meal at the restaurant, in which our daughters each had one of the outstanding wood-fired pizzas, and my wife and I enjoyed some of the homemade pasta. The food was incredible, and the portions were very generous - we had leftovers for lunch and/or cocktail... More

There were some hits and misses here, but mostly I enjoyed it. The first miss was the bread that was served with oil was soggy, like it had been sitting out. It had charred edges so it had obviously been put in the oven at one time, but by the time it got to my table it had no crispness... More
