BEST. SNOWBALL. EVER!

Their ice isn't even ice. It's powder like snow. They have great flavors. My favorite is probably the creme de blueberry. Phenomenal!!! They also have unique flavors. Heard about Hansen's from a local NOLA resident. Being from Memphis, home of the famous Jerry's Sno Cones, I had to go and compare them myself. Although Hansen's was good and the flavors were home made and delicious, my heart still belongs with Jerry's. Hansen's was definitely worth the drive over and the small wait. I would recommend checking them... More

New to the area, and lucky enough to live just a few blocks away. Just out of curiosity, we tried another snowball stand, and wow, there is just no comparison. I love the satsuma flavor, its like biting into a fresh satsuma. At the other stand we tried, the tangerine (no satsuma) flavor tasted like orange Hi-C. We will never... More

This place was cute! I think the snow cones are pretty good. I have not had another one to compare to it yet! But this snow cone place is the place that everyone tells you to go to. So you must! The lines can be long. I know we waited at least 30 minutes. They use an old ice machine... More

I put up a fight if someone suggests a snowball anywhere else. Why choose something other than perfection? There are some very adventurous flavor combinations (fruit punch and limeade) or you can stick with a favorite. The owner is wonderful and she makes all the syrups on site. This is a must-see when visiting New Orleans.

In comparison to the fireworks of Epcot world showcase...once you have an experience like this, it is hard to settle for anything else.

From the moment you walk in the door, you know this place is special. The owner, Ashley, is the original owner's granddaughter and she has lovingly kept Hansen's looking and tasting they way it has for decades (2015 will be Hansen's 75th anniversary). Same ice grinder that her grandfather engineered in 1939. Knowing that the ice was shaved using the... More

Hansen's Sno-Bliz has been around long enough for my grandma to have enjoyed it as a child. The shop is pretty unassuming. Trust me, it is worth it. The walls are adorned with photos of families enjoying a nectar cream or chocolate snowball. The place is owned by the 3rd Hansen generation, and you can tell she cares about the... More

This is in my opinion by far the best snowball in New Orleans. There are a few others in the city that are top caliber but no one has close to the same consistency of ice. Hansen's truly makes sno. They give you a straw but I can never get anything from it, the sno absorbs the juice. The flavors... More

We visited Hansen's Sno Bliz several times during our family trip to New Orleans. This place rocks! It is a family owned local establishment that sets THE STANDARD for snowballs. The wait is long and this is because it is so good...but, as we know, good things come to those who wait...I think it is worth it and I hope... More
