It's all about the fluff in the ice and then the many many decisions you have on favors. My family and I truly enjoyed our visit.

I was pretty confused by the concept of snow balls as I had never had one before visiting Hansen's. It was explained to me and I thought "shaved ice with flavored syrup? How can that be amazing?" But, we took the cab ride over to Hansen's and I was VERY pleasantly surprised! They have hundreds of flavor combinations and truly... More

As a child I would make occasional trips with my parents to visit friends on the West Bank. For me, no trip was complete without a poboy and a trip to Hansen's. So, 50 years later I find myself in NOLA on a hot Saturday afternoon, needing a treat, so we headed to Hansen's. It was just as I remembered... More

great place for a snow ball, but lack of a comprehensive menu leaves the first time visitor wondering what to order, also the line of people waiting is deceiving-inside there are at least 10-12 people waiting-if you drive by and see no one in line stop in-they do have the best shaved ice-if you see a line go to Plum... This place has been around for ages and surely knows how to bring back old school style snowballs. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to everyone in the store that day. They have an enormous range of flavors and toppings and they are delicious! Whenever in New Orleans, this place is a must do! Two thumbs way up to... More

If there really is a heaven it had better be a Cream of Blueberry snowball from Hansen's. If only they kept regular hours and didn't only open when they feel like it.... I still have to give Hansen's 5 stars because it is the most delicious dessert on earth and because of the great memories.

I've had two son-cones since I moved down South. The first one (at a roadside stand on the way into the state) gave me the ice-headache from hell (I literally was doubled up on the car's front bumper, eyes shut, fists clenched, with the pain) and wasn't that tasty. I had the other concoction of frozen water and bright chemicals... More

Told that having a snowball is a must for a muggy New Orleans day! The one name that came up often was Hansen's. When I first arrived, there were only a few people. While enjoying my first order (yes I got another order while there!), it quickly got crowded and the line was out the door. It's cash only It... More

2 Really delicious flavors I tried yesterday.. The wait was about 15-20 minutes, bc one of the snowball machine was working.. So glad I got to try those flavors.. Been craving pineapple alot lately, and that was so good!! Our order was long so when we were done, the line got really long.. Thanks everyone for the patience😉
