Great Dessert Spot

We visited here late one evening to grab a light bite. Service was ok. It was readily apparent that they were in closing mode, though we arrived 1-1/2 hour prior to closing. The free valet service was efficient as well as friendly, but the restaurant staff just ok. We enjoyed a tasty shrimp po' boy... read more

Food was good. Hot and spicy even though it took a little longer than expected. Portions were worth the price. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Red velvet cheesecake was ok. The cake part is always dry on most red velvet cheesecakes. Would love to try the peanut butter cheesecake.

This is a good restaurant with very good service. I wouldn't say it was exceptional but if you want good food for a decent price this will do it. It has a large selection of items to choose from on the menu. From Southern, American, Pasta, Cajun, Creole etc. The turtle cheesecake was excellent!

Came here3 times in 2 days. First was almost noon on a Friday. Took 10 minutes just for water to be brought to the table. Cheesecake was GREAT! Second, was happy hour. Waitress was frustrated from lack of support from bartenders. Drinks took a while. Third encounter was for my mother's birthday. Was told she gets a free entree. Come... More

The turtle cheesecake is phenomenal! Not to be missed! We didn't have a meal here only dessert, and it was awesome.

We used to loved the prior Coplelands in NOLA and stop in this one for a quick lunch. We waited 20 minutes for a table. Portions were large. Are chicken meal was good-- the gumbo was very good. Good place with kids.

We ate at this restaurant four times over our week stay. Initially, it was very close to the Avenue Plaza, but, every meal we had was exceptional. So much so we chose it for our 43rd Anniversary meal over two better known places in the area. If you are a cheesecake person don't miss this one. We were served by... More

We ordered the chicken house specialty which my husbands second bite exposed partially raw chicken. The management took it back and gave us a credit. We did go back a second time and ate in the bar. The appetizers were really good and it had a great New Orleans atmosphere.

Ride the trolley past Loyola and Tulane University and stop at Copelands. Food and service are great but the Category 5 is the best!

With so many restaurants in NOLA to choose from, I might never have noticed this one is it wasn't within walking distance of our hotel. One of our cabbies added to that notice by recommending it. We are glad we went! We ordered the meatballs and marinara as an appetizer ($9), it was delicious. I love the roasted garlic hiding... More
