Good food close to Avenue Plaza Resort

They have a full menu in addition to several types of cheesecake. The food is very good, prices are in line with other New Orleans restaurants, and appears to be well known with the locals. On weekends especially, be prepared to wait for a table.

In the Garden District, lower end of St. Charles Street. Great spot to eat, looks upscale but can walk in with shorts and sandals. GREAT steak and salmon dishes and portions are bigger than what you would think but not huge. Also have yummy cheesecake selections that you can walk in and carry out. Very good!

This was recommended by a local so we definitely had to try it out. Our food took quite a long time and wouldn't have been so bad if we weren't freezing. The food itself was good but the piece of Big Al's Chocolate Cake was to DIE for! I'd go back just for the cake!

I have no problem with the quality of their cheesecake but, the rest of the food is nasty and highly pricey.

This was very good - noisy and lots going on. Great for families, sports fans, etc., food and service were very good. With so many outstanding restaurants in New Orleans wouldn't make this a first choice. We ate here because it was later in the evening and they were able to accommodate us with minimal wait - we were all... More

On a Friday afternoon, we couldn't find any place to eat in the French Quarter without a long line. So we took the street car and randomly stopped at this hotel for lunch. The food was pretty good and the service was excellent and fast.

We went to cheesecake bistro for a late lunch due to it being recommended to use by numerous locals and our bus tour guy. We got there a little after 2 and the place was less then half full. We ordered drinks as in water, tea and soda and it took about 10 mins to get them. My niece ordered... More

White chocolate bread pudding. Need I say more! I have tried this chain in Shreveport, Metairie and in NO and have loved each experience. This is on my places to visit in Louisiana.

This restaurant was connected to our hotel so we ate there 3 different times. The food was always good but the service was very, very slow. We decided to try the take-out but it wasn't any faster. Some of the employees were nice but some seemed totally lost like the only reason they had the job was they knew the... More
