Forget "cafe du monde" this is the place to go. Fresh juices, great grits & it's a bakery so it goes without saying the biscuits we pretty darn good! Nice variety of menu choices. More locals than tourist, & you pick up your own plates, no worries so worth it!

The roasted veggie omelette was delicious. Loved the homemade jam with a big biscuit. Walked here from the French quarter and it was worth the trip!

We headed straight there after reading all the great reviews and I was a smidge under-whlemed. Don't get me wrong - there wasn't a damned thing wrong with our experience. Service was pleasant and the food was decent. For me it just wasn't anything to write home about.

What a great spot for breakfast where you get to eat like and with the locals! Just outside the Quarter in Marigny, this place offers great food and atmosphere for a reasonable price. We dropped in on a Saturday morning, parked pretty close to the front door and enjoyed the entire experience. I had the meat omelette that was packed... More

This place is one of the reasons we stay in the Marigny. Very good breakfasts and well-brewed coffee every time. Consistent quality and service. Also, if you like people watching, this cafe can't be beat, a real cross section of locals, in-the-know tourists, and, often, their dogs! Very casual atmosphere, a nice, easy place to start your day. A can't... More

We wanted to acknowledge our favourite breakfast spot during our first visit to New Orleans...friendly casual atmosphere with a diverse menu...we gravitated to the omelettes on each visit, and can vouch for them highly (specifically the shrimp and roasted vegetable omelettes)...a short pleasant walk outside the French Quarter, several blocks past Frenchman St....highly recommend

We stumbled upon this place after reading a few reviews on Trip Advisor and decided it would be worth a stop for breakfast. When we arrived we were pleased to find that there was no line and the small bakery was crawling with locals (who were friendly and welcoming of us tourists). Although the shop is called a bakery, they... More

I was parked a couple blocks from Cake Cafe in the historic Marigny district of New Orleans and as I was beginning a 7 hour drive, I stopped in to grab a to-go. It is a fairly plain and undecorated historic "corner store" with friendly people inside and cooks who are inventive with attention to detail. I had a kind... More

For us its a nice walk (wheel for me in my manual wheel chair) from the French Quarter over through the Marigny to the Cake Cafe. Just get on Chartres Street in the Quarter and head east until you get to the 2400 block, sits right on the corner. However it may be a little far for those that have... More

Just like many of the small cafe's in NO, this place can be packed however they do an excellent job, to get you in and out. Nice, helpful service. Food is very good. For an extra $1 with any meal you can add a cupcake.
