We popped in here during our uptown excursion - just hop right off the streetcar and you're there! The hotel looks frozen in time in a good way, I love it! I recommend sitting on the patio and just enjoying the view as the streetcar rolls by over and over.

We went to the Column Hotel for Sunday jazz brunch and it was great. You sit out on the porch which is amazing architecture and get treated to a four course set meal plus a glass of bubbly and live music. Staff were super friendly and very professional. Food was delicious! First course was Gumbo, then a salad, then steak... More

A stunning hotel with large veranda /patio seating. We went during happy hour and a rain storm! Drinks were well made and the veranda provided ample Room to watch a summer storm. Service was great! A must see. Enter the hotel and check out the magnificent decor From the late 1800's. Exquisite!

I had to call ahead to explain that we would be late due to the St. Charles Street Car not running all the way. Angel our waitress and Dimples our drink man were lovely to us the whole time. We had the called Sczarac that was first made here. My granddaughter had had Potato Leek soup and daughter and I... More

This is a perfect place to cool your heals and be lazy! We lounged on the front porch at The Columns Hotel for a couple hours after a long tour. We enjoyed delicious drinks and a nice breeze on a hot and humid day. A (b-list) celebrity even showed up while we were there! Although we didn't spend time inside,... More

We went to The Columns for Mothers Day brunch and I was blown away by how delicious it was! I had the oyster stew and petite filet and they were both delicious! The derby pie would have been better had it been warmed up a lil bit but regardless, I loved it all! Atmosphere was nice, service was ok but... More

It really is a beautiful old bar inside a beautiful old hotel. We stopped by for a classic cocktail before a stroll through the neighborhood nearby. We spent some time in the bar and then took our drinks out on the veranda. Great spot to pass a little time.

I came here after reading all of the reviews and mentions on this hotel - all the comments about how you must sit on the big porch and sip a mint julep and watch the street car go by had my expectations skewed, I guess. I was picturing a more relaxing experience. Yes the hotel is absolutely beautiful. But at... More
