Experience true southern charm at the original Grand Dame herself, the Columns Hotel. No trip to New Orleans is complete without sipping a Bloody Mary, Mint Julep or Sazerac on the fabulous columned porch of this historic Antebellum mansion. This place is beautiful and the location is perfect. Sit in the dark, high-ceilinged bar for a feeling of stepping back to the turn of the last century, or hang out on the massive front porch and watch the street cars pass under the majestic old oaks. Gets a little crowded during happy hours in good weather.

After a day walking and admiring the garden district we thought this would be the perfect place to stop in after dinner for a drink. On a cold and rainy night this place had a warm atmosphere and all the rich wood decor was really inviting in a special way. It's too bad it was raining, the porch would've been... More

Although I am not a bar type person, The Victorian Lounge at The Columns Hotel is another New Orleans experience that should be savored. Lively conservation, historical atmosphere, music across the hall all add up to one of New Orleans' favorite bars.

For years we've passed the Columns porch thinking we should get off the train. Finally did and it was as relaxing and enjoyable as we had ever imagined. What was a great surprise was how nice the inside is. I'm axious to come back and experience everything inside as well. Great drinks in a unique setting with terrific service.

Live music every night! Great appetizers and the cocktails, wine and beer are amazing. Locals mixing with us tourists made us feel right at home! Cozy nooks to hide away, or nice open bar to socialize.

We popped in here during our uptown excursion - just hop right off the streetcar and you're there! The hotel looks frozen in time in a good way, I love it! I recommend sitting on the patio and just enjoying the view as the streetcar rolls by over and over.

We went to the Column Hotel for Sunday jazz brunch and it was great. You sit out on the porch which is amazing architecture and get treated to a four course set meal plus a glass of bubbly and live music. Staff were super friendly and very professional. Food was delicious! First course was Gumbo, then a salad, then steak... More

A stunning hotel with large veranda /patio seating. We went during happy hour and a rain storm! Drinks were well made and the veranda provided ample Room to watch a summer storm. Service was great! A must see. Enter the hotel and check out the magnificent decor From the late 1800's. Exquisite!

I had to call ahead to explain that we would be late due to the St. Charles Street Car not running all the way. Angel our waitress and Dimples our drink man were lovely to us the whole time. We had the called Sczarac that was first made here. My granddaughter had had Potato Leek soup and daughter and I... More
