Drinks on the grand porch

What a great setting to sit outside on the huge porch and enjoy a drink while watching historic St. Charles ave street cars and joggers. Take a tour of the Victorian house and nice rooms inside. A must for any local or you visitors.

We met friends here and enjoyed a nice evening on the porch with cocktails. It's a great place to sit and people watch. We did not spend time inside but there is a charming and cool dark bar that we'll visit next time in town.

Drinks, music and overall ambiance is excellent. Lots of young people from surrounding colleges makes for a lively scene.

Brunch w/another couple sitting on the large porch overlooking St. Charles Avenue. Ambrosia salad was to die for and Eggs Benedict with the lightest of pastry was mouthwatering. Cooked perfectly. The Creme Brûlée ...no words to describe.

Ate brunch at The Columns on the porch and it was fantastic!! The day was perfect. Started out with a complimentary Mimosa which set the perfect mood. The food was fantastic as well! The bread pudding for dessert was to die for! Get early reservations so you will have a better chance of getting a table on the porch overlooking... More

Just have brunch here if you are in New Orleans. Delicious shrimp and grits, gorgeous surroundings. This lovely hotel is a stop on tours of New Orleans, but don't let that stop you, its truly a landmark, with delicious food, music at brunch, a leisurely exotic setting for a drink and a bite to eat. Don't miss it.

The Columns might be my wife's favorite New Orleans bar. It is absolutely one of mine too. You can sit inside the lounge in very plush seats and sip a cocktail, or if the weather is nice take it outside to the porch. There is a great view of St. Charles and the streetcar line. You just can't get this... More

We had our first Mint Juleps on the Veranda with Brunch. The food was excellent and ambiance fantastic. Our hostess and server Kayla went out of her way to make our Brunch superior!! Do not miss going here for a warm Southern feeling.

This place is beautiful and the location is perfect. Sit in the dark, high-ceilinged bar for a feeling of stepping back to the turn of the last century, or hang out on the massive front porch and watch the street cars pass under the majestic old oaks. Gets a little crowded during happy hours in good weather.

After a day walking and admiring the garden district we thought this would be the perfect place to stop in after dinner for a drink. On a cold and rainy night this place had a warm atmosphere and all the rich wood decor was really inviting in a special way. It's too bad it was raining, the porch would've been... More
