No trip to New Orleans is complete without sipping a Bloody Mary, Mint Julep or Sazerac on the fabulous columned porch of this historic Antebellum mansion. Be sure to take a peek inside, where you may recognize the elegant interior as the brothel from the movie, "Pretty Baby." Daily happy hour from 5-7pm.

I came here after reading all of the reviews and mentions on this hotel - all the comments about how you must sit on the big porch and sip a mint julep and watch the street car go by had my expectations skewed, I guess. I was picturing a more relaxing experience. Yes the hotel is absolutely beautiful. But at... More

We stopped at the Columns Hotel to sit out a downpour. We sat under the safety of the big porch overlooking the sidewalks and street. We ordered drinks and homemade chips to snack on. The valet boys remained out in the rain under big umbrellas to park the cars and assist patrons as they arrived (I'm not sure if this... More

I spent many of years going to this place when I lived in New Orleans. Always had a great time and the view of the Street car passing is lovely.

This review is based on our over-all experience for drinks, as we did not have any of the food. We stopped by the Victorian Lounge at the Columns Hotel after a mid afternoon stroll through the Garden District on a hot, sticky, muggy late July day. We went inside and checked out the bar (totally do it!) and cooled off... More

If you are headed into the Garden District on the streetcar, definitely jump off at the Columns Hotel and grab a drink on their beautiful front porch. My husband had a mint julep and I had a mojito - on a hot day, they both hit the spot. We people watched and just enjoyed life along St Charles for an... More

This place is a fabulous old N.O. Mansion. We were there for cocktails and dinner with a large wedding group. French dip and burger were great! Crab balls not so great - reminded me of mrs, Paul's! Lovely huge porch for drinks chatting.

I don't know what to say other than this was just what the doctor ordered. It's a classic, you can't go wrong. We had a blast here, people watching and chatting it up. Beautiful surrounding and a great staff.
