Greg, Sean and Terrence at the oyster bar were the best! Oysters were fantastic they even cooked them to my specific order. We also had stuffed lobster and it was to die for. Highly recommended! Best deal and best hospitality in New Orleans

We were so looking forward to a meal here since we were staying at the adjoining hotel. It was a terrible meal. Nothing special when you consider the many eating places in New Orleans and the fact that fresh seafood should be obvious in New Orleans. Tasted like a fast food, "frozen" seafood restaurant that you would find in a... More

I have only had osyters once in my life and they were fried. I have never had a desire to eat them again. I'm pretty sure if I would have tried these first I would eat them all the time. These osyters were ABSOLUTELY delicious!!!! The only way to eat osyters in my opinion. I think I'll be coming back... More

The oysters were great but I have an allergy to fin fish. Little did I know they used the same grease for everything and cross contaminated the food. A rush to the emergency room was not what I was looking for. Note to all restaurants. Keep your food separated or at least ask. I usually do but forgot. I take... More

This young lady was the epitome of what hospitality service should be. She knew her menu, took time to know her customers and was an all around fantastic server. Her hair was beautiful as well!!! She reminded me of a 40's pinup girl!! Anyway that's another story but to say that the food was incredible as always but this time... More

A variety of seafood dishes - the crab au gratin was loaded with crabmeat and served with several toasted slices of baguette. The service was personable and prompt.

I stayed in the Hilton for a conference, so it was a natural choice to visit Drago's to experience the famous oysters for myself. And folks, they are famous for a reason - the charbroiled oysters are delicious. Make sure to get an order as an app, but don't miss their entrees! I had a seafood pasta that I'd order... More

The Oyster bar is the best seat in the restaurant. Greg was wonderful cooking up our Charbroiled oysters right before us. Fun, tasteful and awesome experience. A must at least a couple of times, when we are in New Orleans.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
