Excellent Food and Service

The charbroiled oysters are a must!! Every time I go to New Orleans, I go there for the charbroiled oysters. But also had a salad this time. It was excellent, fresh and generous portion. The waiter couldn't have been kinder when we asked for more time (twice!) for dipping. The only reason I... read more

Dragos oysters are the original and absolutely the best. The lobsters is great and everything else is solidly good. I'm partial to the original Metairie location but downtown is great, too. (The bar for a quick oyster fix is a good choice) No reservations so if it's a popular time, be prepared to wait... but they are used to that... More

After a long day, we enjoyed cocktails at the bar before dinner. We started with the famous grilled oyster, delectable. Followed by a nice blue cheese wedge salad with heirloom tomatoes & crisp bacon. I followed that up with a very nice seafood pasta, shrimp with a crab sauce over angel hair pasta with a nice not to strong Cajun... More

Had a wait time so they texted me when the table was ready. Great service as usual. The grilled oysters are hands-down the best ever. Peroid. Gumbo was good, and staff is very friendly. Awesome food & great staff this is a #1 place...

Oysters are superb. Top hotel and great position. A tad cold though. Not sure why hotels and restaurants have to be freezing. You may need to book if not early.

Drago’s is a high end restaurant in one on the big hotels on Canal St. But there oysters are excellent we ordered a dozen raw and a dozen charbroiled. We sat at the bar so we could see how they we prepared them. The more we watched the more we wanted. They were different than other that we had, lots... More

Charbroiled osyters and banana pudding. Stick to these and you wont be disappointed. My friend had the shrimp and grits and he said it was very good as well. I also had the lobster mac n cheese and it was good as well

We were in the mood for seafood and the reviews for Drago seemed pretty good. Given that this was within walking distance from our hotel we decided to give it a try. I must say that the chargrilled oysters, their signature dish, was awesome! They were so good we ordered another half dozen after polishing off the first dozen :)... More

30 minute wait on a late Saturday afternoon. Waiter was wonderful. My husband had his standard fried fish and shrimp. I ordered the baked stuffed fish. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Waiter was able to answer questions on the wine menu. Definitely will come again.

These were the best oysters in New Orleans hands down! The restaurant didn't allow us to make reservations but we were lucky enough to to get seating in the bar area at a high top. This was my first experience rating oysters abc I definitely enjoyed them. I also had the chicken gumbo which was also really tasty but nothing... More
