Excellent Food and Service

The charbroiled oysters are a must!! Every time I go to New Orleans, I go there for the charbroiled oysters. But also had a salad this time. It was excellent, fresh and generous portion. The waiter couldn't have been kinder when we asked for more time (twice!) for dipping. The only reason I... read more

Wow! Four of us were in New Orleans for a hardware buying market this past week. Friends suggested we eat at Drago's, so we did. Amazing was the only word I can think of to describe our food and overall experience! This place was huge and teaming with customers and help. We had a very helpful waitress, who was quite... More

I visit Drago's every time I visit New Orleans. The gumbo is great but the signature dish, charbroiled oysters are just amazing. You can not find these any where else. Even if you have dinner plans elsewhere, you should stop by and get a dozen oysters. Just amazing !!!

I ate at Dragos with my wife and a couple of her colleagues. This is a huge and loud restaurant in the Hilton Riverside, and their specialty is charbroiled oysters. They smelled good, and I have heard people rave about them, but we opted to start with the alligators bites. They came with a sauce and ended up being very... More

Very tasty and entertaining at the same time sitting at the Oyster Bar. Staff were very friendly and told us a lot of information about Oyster preparation.

Once again, fantastic oysters. You just can't beat these. This is a favorite for me when in NOLA and I do not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. On this trip...always the oysters. Next a bowl of gumbo with some room left for bread pudding which was enough to share. For this visit, we were quite impressed with our waiter and... More

We stopped in for lunch on our first full day. I had heard about the char-broiled oysters and tried them. Let me tell you--I'm not a huge fan of oysters, but I could eat these babies for every meal for the rest of my life, with no complaints. I had a half dozen and a salad with crab meat. Daughter... Dragos oysters are the original and absolutely the best. The lobsters is great and everything else is solidly good. I'm partial to the original Metairie location but downtown is great, too. (The bar for a quick oyster fix is a good choice) No reservations so if it's a popular time, be prepared to wait... but they are used to that... More

After a long day, we enjoyed cocktails at the bar before dinner. We started with the famous grilled oyster, delectable. Followed by a nice blue cheese wedge salad with heirloom tomatoes & crisp bacon. I followed that up with a very nice seafood pasta, shrimp with a crab sauce over angel hair pasta with a nice not to strong Cajun... More

Had a wait time so they texted me when the table was ready. Great service as usual. The grilled oysters are hands-down the best ever. Peroid. Gumbo was good, and staff is very friendly. Awesome food & great staff this is a #1 place...
