One last celebration of NOLA

Prior to our departure on a Mississippi River cruise my husband and I enjoyed a last celebration of NOLA hospitality at lunch at the Crazy Lobster Bar and Grill. The day was dismal and rainy but the restaurant was full of big easy joy. We had great service, decent food and lovely jazz.I had a good... read more

This riverside restaurant has everything you need. Great food sitting next to the Mississippi River, wonderful music, and a most attentive and interesting wait staff. We braved severe weather for a return visit and one of the best Bloody Marys in the city. You will not be disappointed in this relaxed indoor/outdoor restaurant.

We made reservations and specified a need to be finished dining by a certain time because we had an excursion booked. We were told to ask for Kristen, the manager upon arrival and were assured she would have her best server look after us. We did and as promised, we were seated immediately and Kristen personally catered to our every... More

My wife and I both had the shrimp poor boys which were good, typical New Orleans fare. The one thing I can say is they give you a massive amount of shrimp. By the time I finished I could not even begin to eat my fries.

Outside tables and chairs were not clean, and the service was awful. We sat for 30 minutes before someone even took our orders, and it was then another 30 minutes until we got our drinks. There are many other and better places to eat.

The restaurant sits right on the river and the views are beautiful. We were seated right away and there were empty tables all around but it took forever for a waiter to come to our table. Once there the waiter was very nice. The food was expensive and only average at best. The gator sausage however was amazing so I... More

My mother and I were at the restaurant for lunch. Most of the tables were empty. We sit down and my mother went to the restroom a few minutes later. When she came back, no one had come to the table. We waited about 5 more minutes and still no one. After waiting over 10 minutes and no one came... More

We shared the seafood bucket so much seafood with a crab and lobster on the top. i am a bit of a whip when it comes to spicy food but the Cajun spicing was lovely and not too hot. You have to be prepared to get your hands dirty and wear a bib with pride, but some of the sweetest... More

So we were fortunate to have 2 $60 groupons (paid $30 each) for 2 different days. The first evening was great. We both had fried catfish with jambalaya, and it was delicious. However, the $60 goes rather quickly because the items are rather expensive. I did not dare order their signature drinks at $15 each. Probably the live music and... More
