Everything my fellow TA writers are right, some of the best, if not the best pralines in town. Go for the traditional ones or try some of their unique confections. What's really nice are the employees who work there. Their southern charm hits you like the sweetness of a praline while they're handing you a sample. They are a bit... More

I did not know what Pralines were but I am hooked now!! These guys made the best ones ever and I love the way they packaged it too! I bought a bit for us to eat during our vacation and some to bring back... Needless to say that they did not last long and I can't wait to go back... More

This is my second visit to New Orleans and Southern Candymakers. There is no doubt that their pralines are delicious, but, the prices are exorbitant. In an effort to save money, I visited another reputable store in the Quarter, and purchased several reasonably priced boxes for friends and family. Upon tasting the new batch, I could definitely tell the difference,... More

You like candy? Homemade chocolate treats? Look no further. This place has it all. Best pralines ever. And I don't like pralines! The dark chocolate treats are heaven. Our kids insist on "care packages" when we visit. It is a little pricey (cause we aren't rich), but oh is it a treat. Every night my Mrs. insists on walking down... More

This adorable candy shop makes their pralines daily while you watch. They are very friendly and reasonably priced. Pralines are not easy to make, I've tried! There are plenty of prepackaged boxes all over town from other brands. Do yourself a favor, save you time and money. As souvenirs go, these are great!!! Friends and family will be thrilled to... A chance to watch, sample, and buy these delicious candies. Lots of places in town to buy pralines but these are made fresh here and you can get whatever assortment you like. Delicious fudge too. Worth a stop.

Ok if I lived in NOLA I'd weigh 1000 lbs with all the yummy treats and this one makes the list. I had never had a praline prior to this as I am not a huge fan of nuts but this place beat out my favorite treat of chocolate covered strawberries... and I LOVE chocolate. I also had the best... More

The location is a bit small I feel like I didn't get to really look at everything that was in the store but I came away with what I wanted, the Pralines! They don't mind giving samples and were very friendly and patient with my decision making. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it for the quality.

The best pralines in NOLA. We bought some on day 1, some on day 2 and some to take home. The best one are the originals and the coconut. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This will be my standard take home NOLA treat from now on.

Need I say more? I got a reuseable bag here too for cheap to stow all my pralines in. So may flavors to choose from, although the original, chocolate and coconut were my family's favorites. I f you won't be eating them right away ask to get them shrink wrapped for easy transport. They will happily do it at no... More
