Helpful knowledgeable staff, wonderful fresh candy. Without a doubt, the best choice in Nola! We tasted and then shipped a whole lot home.

Don't be fooled by the other places with the standard "red & white" praline boxes, those are not made in house. Southern Candymakers is the freshest pralines, made right in front of you. They also have fabulous homemade toffee (try it in white chocolate). Also ask to try a sample if you don't know what you want. As soon as... More

We go here for pralines every visit to NOLA. There are other likely more popular praline makers in New Orleans, but NONE are better. I mean pralines are not high tech, but if you want great, creamy, fresh candy, search this place out. We go to this location near the National Park.

Very good range and quality of treats available. Helpful staff. Go into the tourist information on the opposite side of the road and get a 10% off voucher first!

Candy, pralines, fudge, nothing more need be said. There are several locations, and something for every sweet tooth.

we couldn't help but drool a lot once we walked in. The selection of pralines was overwhelming. Between all of us, we walked away with several kinds!! They are always one of my first stops when we go to NOLA.

I like this store over the others, because it has a bigger selection and you can mix and match. The cookies are delicious and so are all the different chocolates they have.

OK, I know it's heresy, but I don't like pralines. If you want a sample of a praline, however, they are very generous with them here. What I did purchase here was fudge (chocolate and maple), a homemade peanut butter cup, and some of the best turtles (I believe they called them tortugas - pecans and caramel covered in chocolate)... I went here to buy some pralines to take home because it was so highly rated on Trip-advisor. The candy is delicious - pralines and toffee. Staff were very helpful in making a choice and nice about wrapping it for travel. Pralines are everywhere in they city but I highly recommend coming to this place.
