This is the only candy maker in New Orleans that makes their pralines the right way--no corn syrup here!!! These pralines at emade the way they are supposed to be made--homemade with pure ingredients. Highly recommend you stop here and buy double what you think you "need."

I tried several places in the quarter for pralines. The most important thing is that they are fresh. They really start to degrade after only a few days. The first day I tried these, I found them too hard, but when I tried them the next day here, they were better, so I bought some. I also purchased a chocolate... More

I stumbled upon this shop and, afer tasting the sample they offered, bought myself a praline to enjoy as I wandered through the French Quarter. I fell in love! I went back an hour later and bought a whole box. And then I went back again the next day and bought a bigger box. These are my favorite pralines ever!... More

We went to this shop specifically for Pecan Brittle. This is substantially different than Praline candy. We first sampled some Pecan Brittle in Amish country in Wisconsin and wanted to get some more. Because the brittle was pre-packaged, samples were not available (at least to our knowledge). When we were able to taste the brittle, it was more "gummy" than... More

We tried several of the praline places around the French Quarter. This one was by far the best!!! The creamy pralines really do melt in your mouth. Line was out the door to buy them. They also let you sample anything first!!!!!

If I'm in the quarter for any reason my family knows I'll come home with caramel apples and all kinds of other goodies. Always hope that they'll have some delish chocolate covered strawberry's. One trip when they were out I happened to ask and they made some especially for me! Don't forget to get your free sample of pralines! My... More

Regular praline and the rum pralines are excellent, melts in your mouth. They let you try samples of anything before you purchase. I also purchased salted caramel with nuts and it was very good as well as the turtles. I will be ordering online

I love the original pralines but make sure you try the sweet potato pralines. Heck, try them all. But also check out the other types of candies: turtles, fudge, chocolate covered cherries... This store is a candy lover's dream. You are sure to find something to satisfy your craving. They also sell spices and coffee. It's a great place to... More

I was walking by Southern Candy Makers one day and they were giving out samples of warm fresh pralines. I've been hooked ever since. This is my go-to place for ALL gifts - they make a tortue the size of a small pizza and will print your message on top - unique and delicious!!
