Don't forget to stop in and get some candy. They offer some free samples of the items as well to ensure you like what you buy. They also make there candy right there in front of you so even if you want to just see how it is done, it is worth the stop. The staff is friendly and happy... More

I got a free sample outside the store while walking to my hotel and was addicted. Came back as soon as I checked in!

Staff is friendly and service is speedy. Pralines are fresh and truly do melt in your mouth! This place is definitely worth the stop. Many other options are available including fudge, saltwater taffy, and multitudes of chocolates!

I stopped in to get a few pralines with a friend. I tasted one and it just melted in my mouth. I tried 4 more at the airport but they weren't as good as Southern Candymakers! I'll be ordering online soon!

There are lots of places to buy pralines in New Orleans but this is the right place. Fresh and flavorful, they could only be better if they weren't quite so expensive. Buy a few less pieces to make up the cost difference--they're really good. We had some ice cream, too, which was also a bit pricey but much appreciated on... More

We stopped here on our way home to pick up some gifts. It was recommended by our tour guide as the best place to get pralines. We went ahead and visited the other pralines stores that were close by and sampled theirs, there is absolutely no comparison, these are by far the best! I had one that was still warm... More

The awards on the wall are well deserved. Upon entering they will more than likely offer you a sample... Take it! The pralines are genuinely the best you can get! Insider Tip: if you need a souvenir to bring back home about the pralines from this location is perfect. They will package them individually upon request at no additional cost.... More

Just want to add the smell when you walk in to this candy store - heavenly delicious. Brought home several bags of the salt water taffy. All flavors were very tasty.

I went to this candy store for some souvenir candies before I left New Orleans. First off the candy is delicious and they make a lot of it on site. They are also great for giving you samples and I will save the Mississippi Mud and Pralines are delicious and I would like to mention Stephanie and Melva who worked... More

Every time we go to New Orleans, we stop at this candy shop. It's a little pricey but they MAKE all of the candy. The customer service is wonderful, every person behind that counter is always friendly, smiling and very accommodating. I LOVE the dark chocolate tortues, and the milk chocolate tortues, and if I could have more children, my... More
