The restaurant business is such a perilous one that you have to offer up little prayers for the survival of the best ones; there are no guarantees an excellent place will flourish. In the New Orelans guide books, MiLa has the reputation of being undersung -- and boy, is it! We had an absolutely stand-out meal at MiLa in March... More

It's easy to overlook hotel restaurants in NOLA, but several are very good. MILA featured a nice décor, attentive staff and great food. I particularly appreciated that the vegetarian offerings were more than a one item after thought!

Service friendly and helpful. Decor modern, sophisticated and slick. We all had seafood salads that were to die for. Two had the Fried Oyster Salad. Fresh, lightly battered and delicately fried so not to dry out the oysters hug the rim of a large chilled salad bowl. In the center was perfectly chilled iceberg lettuce with fresh buttermilk dressing. Two had... More

The food here is very good, but not great. The service is prompt and attentive, but doesn't make you feel like anything other than a paying diner. The menu is even good and is unique enough, that this should have been a lot better experience than it was. At the end of the night, we just didn't feel like it... More

Poor service, the waiters appear to be impatient, the food was just okay, not worth the price, Would not eat here again

Sleek modern decor in a Central Business District setting lacked the cozy local character of many of the fine dining New Orleans restaurants. We had a very early booking and the dining room was almost deserted. My steak was not that great but my wife's Pepper Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna with Bulgar Wheat and Pink Eye Peas in a Pomegrante... I had the tuna with pink eyed peas and spinach. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. My dinner companion had the seared scallops which were also excellent. We had the chocolate peanut butter dessert which was fabulous. It was early and the resturant was not busy so it seemed a little quiet. The service was excellent as well. Would definitely... More

Didn't do the restaurant but decided to have drinks after work at the bar. I must say the vibe was far from upbeat. However, the drinks were good. I loved the Hoochie Coochie, but the fresh blueberry martini the bartender decided to mix up was far from great. All in all the decor is nice, and I have seen better... More

On paper the concept is great, local ingredients cooked by chefs that blend the styles of Mississippi and Louisiana - in reality it fails to deliver. Our mains were overcooked and under seasoned - with some of the interesting sounding combinations (e.g. Duck and Dates) just not coming off! An opportunity missed.....

Good day TR80118. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Our Chefs use only the freshest ingredients in all of their dishes. Because of this, they sometimes find themselves having to change dishes slightly when they can not get certain product or ingredients in. Please except our apology. We hope to see you again soon. Thanks again for you... More

I had the yellowfin tuna with black-eyed peas, and it was great. My wife and cousin ordered the drum fish. After placing their orders, the waitress returned to the table to notify them that neither of the two vegetables that were supposed to come with it were available, and would be replaced with faba beans and baby carrots (no other...
