Fabulous ice cream and sundaes. Worth the trip from downtown NOLA. fyi, they only take cash. Great coffee too. Add a scoop of Naked ice cream to your coffee for a special treat.

We had heard about Creole Creamery and had to try it. I'm so glad we did! After taking the trolley down to the garden district and admiring all the beautiful homes we stopped in. I got the 6 scoop sampler with Mexican Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Amaretto Cheesecake, Creole Cheesecake, King Cake, Lavender Honey and Absinthe. Oh my all of them... More

The Creole Creamery has tastes you would never experience elsewhere. I had Chockwork Orange, a semi-sweet chocolate with candied orange pieces, but I would have liked to have tried so many - Red Velvet, King Cake, 5 Spice Ginger - I could go there every day and never run out of something new and delicious to try. A great New... More

We actually were searching for the St. Charles Cheese Company when we spotted the Creole Creamery and decided we needed ice cream instead of cheese. And what a delightful choice. The creamery has a wonderful selection of unique flavors and creations. I wanted one of everything. My daughter and I both decided on the mini scoop sampler so we could... More

After wandering through the Garden District, we took the St Charles Avenue Trolley further up the line to find the Creole Creamery. A fabulous assortment of unique hand crafted ice creams and sorbets. Take your time to think about all the different flavors and consider one of the mini scoop tasting options! It is SO hard to pick just one... More

I had first heard of the Creole Creamery on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For whatever reason, it was the only thing I remembered about New Orleans, and I knew if I ever visited, I wanted to go there. Well I had the opportunity to visit New Orleans for the American Meteorologial Society Annual Meeting this January, and finally was able... More

Took the street car to the Garden District but decided we needed a sweet treat so stayed on and detoured to Creole Creamery after a recommendation from a local . . . wow what a yummy treat! I loved the four small scoop sampler of unique flavors! There was a special case of just chocolate creations! Worth the extra detour... More

Great little ice cream shop with a good variety of flavours. I highly recommend the Christmas Eve, though I assume this will go out of season soon. The blood orange sorbet is also delicious. You can buy ice cream by the scoop to have in or take out and also by the pint or quart to take home.

This ice cream is delicious! The Creole Creamery is in a beautiful location, such a cool part of town. The staff is awesome! The guy helping us knew so much about all the flavors and about the area. He let us try many different flavors so we could pick out exactly what we wanted. I went with creole cream cheese... More

Staying in Uptown / Carrollton

Neighborhood Profile
Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate feel. Home to Tulane and Loyola Universities, all the students living in the area ensure that Uptown and Carrollton stay youthful, cosmopolitan and vibrantly fun. Two of the liveliest thoroughfares for nightlife and socializing (and yes of course more of the city’s outstandingly good food and live music) are Oak Street and Maple Street. For a truly wild time, the expansive acreage of Audubon Park, with its zoo, golf course, and actual patches of swampy wetlands, means peace and quiet are never too far away.
