The Best Ice Cream in New Orleans

Creole Creamery moved into the old McKenzie's bakery location on Prytania post-Katrina. It has been a smash hit these past 10 years. Creole Creamery makes all of their own flavors and sorbets. The kids will love

We loved creole creamery! They had very unique flavors to choose from and all the samples I tried were delicious. We both got the Basil Coconut and it was heavenly. We will definitely be back to Creole Creamery.

We found this spot after visiting the St. James Cheese shop. It's a few doors down. We had the Mexican chocolate & the cayenne pepper hit you after a few mouthfuls! Glad the girl scooping told me it was spicy so the Creme Fresch was a great flavor to pair with it. Bring cash, no credit cards taken. We parked... More

More excuses to eat here in New Orleans. Took bus down Magazine street then 10 minute walk to this neighborhood ice cream place. I had the mini scoop sampler of 4 flavors for $5. Look at the size of the mini scoops. Ok no mini concept there... Flavors are insanely good too. They have 8 dedicated chocolate flavors - and... More

I stumbled upon this place while looking for dessert!! This place had fresh ice cream. I had there orange chocolate icecream with a scoop of banana foster icecream. It was excellent. This place is very family friendly. There were unique flavors such as magnolia, salted chocolate almond and other unique flavors. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful and exotic flavors, I loved the Mexican chocolate with cayenne pepper! The young lady serving us was very patient while we tried the different flavors.Remember to bring money, they only take cash! We had to go across the street to take out cash at CVS.

wow the cream cheese Danish ice cream was perfect with hit fudge brownie. It was a very busy Sunday but the line went quickly and samples are allowed but politely stated don't be a hog! Could spend a week there trying all the different unusual flavors!

Tried this place out while in the area visiting the garden district. Lots of choices of unusual flavors not found anywhere else.

This is a must visit for every trip into New Orleans. In fact we visited this location twice in one weekend, and the other location as well. (I did say we love Creole Creamery) My favorite is the chocolate orange but I don't think they have a bad flavor. The sample of mini scoops is a great deal if you... More

It's rainy and cool outside, but we decided to have a mid afternoon snack. What a treat. I'm usually a one scoop girl, but I splurged and had 2 (lavender honey with orange chocolate). If you stray out of the quarter, stop by for some great ice cream.
