Good Place for Lunch

We ate lunch at the Brasserie V and enjoyed it very much. Great selection of beers (mostly all are craft beers) and sandwiches. I would highly recommend the Ahi Tuna sandwich and Belgian fries

We went here twice, once in March and the other one in May, and we enjoyed the restaurant and its food on both occasions. The restaurant does not accept reservations, so be prepared to wait for a table. Once we were seated, it didn't take too much to get our food ordered and on our table. Specifically, in May, we... Excellent beer, best frites in town. One of my favorite places in Madison (a very good food town in general), and a place I'd consider becoming a regular. The only downsides are the volume (a bit too much for bringing my folks) and the service (it's a college town, enough said).

Artisan cheeses cannot be beat - except by a goblet of crunch, perfectly cooked bacon. Great beer selection with wonderful service. Adults - this is worth checking out. It's a bar, leave the kids at home and enjoy your evening.

Enjoyed trying the truffle fries. Beer selection is awesome. With such great food, it's too bad the service wasn't quite as good. They really don't seem to want to go out of their way.

This little place is great to visit. There are two bars and the food is excellent. Try the burger they are famous for and you won't be unhappy. I think it was called the V Burger but just ask and they will know what you are asking for. You can get simple food or a more complex dinner if you'd... More

Couldn't wait to give it a try with friends. Long wait for a table on a Monday. Good sign we thought. Enjoyed some nice beers. Great variety. So far so good. Ordered some frites to hold us over. Wonderful. Finally got to the table. Waiter was very short with us. Way too busy I guess. We weren't in huge hurry.... More

Recently I flew out to Madison, WI to visit my son and his family. My sister in law from NJ joined us too. We decided to walk to Brasserie V for a get together dinner. The staff was more than helpful on a busy night to set us up with a large table and a high chair. It has a... More

Stopped for a late lunch, good service with time to look over the beers. The small sampler size was perfect to get a little deeper down the tap list. I had the mussels, perfect! The others at my table had Reuben and apple Gruyere on a baguette. I will be back as it is right down from trader joes.

Came here for dinner after a long day of working Canoecopia, and we were not disappointed. They've got a beer list, and they know how to serve it. The list is so good you'll want to stay all week eating Belgian frites and trying new brews. Ate dinner here Saturday night, and came back Sunday. Both were excellent.
