Should be better

Couldn't wait to give it a try with friends. Long wait for a table on a Monday. Good sign we thought. Enjoyed some nice beers. Great variety. So far so good. Ordered some frites to hold us over. Wonderful. Finally got to the table. Waiter was very short with us. Way too busy I guess. We weren't in... read more

Recently I flew out to Madison, WI to visit my son and his family. My sister in law from NJ joined us too. We decided to walk to Brasserie V for a get together dinner. The staff was more than helpful on a busy night to set us up with a large table and a high chair. It has a... More

Stopped for a late lunch, good service with time to look over the beers. The small sampler size was perfect to get a little deeper down the tap list. I had the mussels, perfect! The others at my table had Reuben and apple Gruyere on a baguette. I will be back as it is right down from trader joes.

Came here for dinner after a long day of working Canoecopia, and we were not disappointed. They've got a beer list, and they know how to serve it. The list is so good you'll want to stay all week eating Belgian frites and trying new brews. Ate dinner here Saturday night, and came back Sunday. Both were excellent.

I had a great meal at Brasserie V. The waitress brought over delicious bread and butter to start, and then we ordered the moules-frites for the table, which was perfect to share between 4 or 5 people. The fries were irresistible. I had the smoked turkey sandwich and it was also great. It was served on bread from one of... More

This is THE place for beer in Madison. My friends and I had an amazing time on a recent Sunday evening in Brasserie V. The tap list looked great, but as the bottles were all on sale (a Sunday deal) we delved into the extensive bottle list. And we were blown away. One bottle after another of fantastic domestic and... We have found that the quality and innovation has long left Brasserie V. Their luncheon and Dinner menu is not distinctive. We visited for lunch. We ordered the V Burger and a half Avocado BLT with Butternut Squash Soup. The soup was very flavorful. The half sandwich was small even as a half. Very little avocado and Bacon. The V... More

DOS 10/6/2014 I spent the evening at Brasserie V with friends upon suggestion by one that when they'd last been there a couple years ago the food was very good. Since I had a City Tin with a $10 off the tab coupon - I was more than game to try out the place. I'd heard many a good review... More

We love coming to the Brasserie V. The beer selection is extensive, the servers friendly and knowledgeable (they will give you free samples) and the food is delicious. My “usual” is a glass of the smooth St. Bernardus Abt 12 beer from Belgium and a cone of their fantastic French fries. The fries are just like the ones I ate... More
