Busy but good ! 150 Wisconsin beers !

They have 150 Wisconsin beers. We had a cheese platter appetizer and the cheese was FRESH! A sandwich portions is almost enough for two people. We had a steak sandwich that was great and a white fish sandwich that was great. Busy place though. Not a lot of guidance on the beer selection. They... read more

The prices were very reasonable considering the location. The fried cheese curd were excellent. My brat and my wife's burger were ok but I have had better. Overall I would recommend this place.

My family and I tried this restaurant at the suggestion of many locals. They have a very large selection of beer and unique drinks but the best was the appetizer cheese curds.

My daughter and I stopped here on a road trip. We had cheese curds for the first time ever and they were wonderful. We also tried a hamburger with a soft-cooked egg on it - very good and the prime rib sandwich. Sandwich was good but a little tough. Overall a good meal and the wait for dinner was not... More

The Old Fashioned is located on the north side of the Capitol Square. It's a convenient spot to eat, especially if you are visiting the Farmer's Market, the Capitol building or the downtown shops or museums. The menu consists of a wide variety of sandwiches, sides, salads and soups. Nightly specials round out the menu. The service is not exceptional... More

Great Menu, Great Food, Great Beverage List and Great Atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. But be prepared for a wait especially on the weekends. Lucky that they have two huge bars and we were able to get stools. It is noisy so be ready for that. There is ample parking at night in the area

Just a short walk from our Hotel on Langdon Street my wife and I had breakfast here this morning. We arrived at about 5 minutes to the 9 am opening time(on Sundays) to find a short line already waiting for the doors to open. The service was very good, my coffee cup was kept full at all times and the... More

Lunch on work days can be packed. We arrived at 11:45 and had no problem finding a table. By 12:15 there was a wait in line. I recommend the tiger or ranch sauce with the curds and a "totally naked" ice cold lager. The burgers were great.

Great food and atmosphere!! Don't forget to order the Cheese Curds - they are the best!! They are located right across from the state capital, and are very popular so you may have to wait a few minutes to get a table. It can also be noisy, so you may want to sit towards the back, or in the side... More
