We found this restaurant from trip advisor great recommendation.

Excellent food nice restaurant good prices we will return when in Madison. My husband made the comment he wants to come back every week it's a little under three hours one-way. This place is great.

Laid back little restaurant. Wide variety of delicious food from central and south america. The plantains are amazing! We could go back and just eat fried plantains and rice and beans. Simple, inexpensive place. You order at the counter. Food is quick. Costa Rican beer and sugar cane lemonade available.

We always look at hotel & restaurant reviews when traveling, and always look for good ETHNIC food, since it is absent in our neck of the NE WI woods.... This restaurant had rave reviews, and we did enjoy it but didn't quite 'get' the great enthusiasm. We did try the passion fruit pie, because the reviews got us curious... reminded... More

Always on a lookout for something different, I went to this place for an early dinner. The staff welcomes you with friendly smile and the place plays Latin music in the background. As a first-time patron, the staff explains the local Venezuelan dishes on the menu. The Pabellon is an excellent way to get initiated to the local cuisine -... More

Whoa, I got the plantain sandwich thing based on some other reviews I've read. Again Trip Advisor proves it's worth. This place was down the road from my hotel and I wasn't about to brave the city so being ranked #2 and my love of Latin cuisine had my expectations high. Well they were met, and then some the giant... More

We tried the traditional appetizers and dishes. What amazing flavor with just spices and seasons no heat required to taste this amazing food. The look of the restaurant is very humble but with the lack of pricey decor comes even better quality food. Nothing seemed to be reheated from a mass production, but instead was all made fresh here. This... More

The best Latin food in Madison! Love the customer service from the owner. Cant wait to go back! Many year living in Wisconsin and could not find a good Latin food Restaurant like Florida. Finally a young entrepreneur open a very family atmosphere for a Latin restaurant, the food is amazing but the service and the cleniness of the restaurant... More

4 of us had a meeting in Madison and we stopped here for supper first. It was amazing. The food simply delicious, the decor very nice, music made you want to get up and dance. The staff very friendly and explained the menu to a tee!! We loved it. It's a small place but well worth a visit. Will definitely... More

Located on Washington Street (US 151) northeast of the Capitol in Madison. First time having Venezuelan food and it was very good. Fresh ingredients and well presented. Fried plantains were especially excellent.

Restaurants that are casual, quick and inexpensive tend to be the same across the country: either they are chains serving predictable and predictably bland items, or they are mom and pop restaurants whose menus vary little though the approach may be a little different. La Taquera is a wonderful alternative when you visit Madison. A small building on the side... More
