A small restaurant off east washington near MATC you'll be happy you stopped. I had never had Venezuelan food but I've been here twice. The food is amazing you can tell it's cooked with pride and love for the culture. The service is wonderful and the place is clean. I can't wait to go back and try something else.

Great owner. Very helpful. Passionate about his food! Great food! I loved every bit of it. Simple but sleek decor. You need to try this place! The Cachapa con Queso y cochino frito was perfect. Sweet corn, lovely smooth artisan cheese and great guasacaca sauce!!

Think beans and rice with seasoned, shredded beef. Add a small, lightly fried corn biscuit plus plantains. And try the "jugo de tamarindo" (tamarind juice) -- delicious!

There are not to many Venezuelan Food options in the Midwest and this is not only among the few but IS AN EXCELLENT OPTION in the heart of Wisconsin. I suggest to try the TEQUENOS as appetizers. Nice, clean and informal place with good food.

Service was quick and pleasant. Food was tasty, especially the appetizers. Very good place to get something different in Madison.

As we were first timers, we still took our time through the limited menu. The staff were quite helpful with options based on our preferences and showed us some of the meals when they took them to patrons who had already ordered. We shared the pabellon as it had a combination of shredded beef, some rice and black beans, along... More

We went to this restaurant based on trip adviser's rating. The food was very interesting. Particularly if you wanted to try Venezuelan food for the first time. The food was good and very interesting. But it was by no means a special place to go. The Decor was fast food. You order at the counter. It just did not seem... More

I have paid twice as much for food that wasn't half as good as what I had at La Taguara. It started with the owner greeting me when I walked in the front door. He explained the menu and the most popular dishes. He was very friendly and passionate about his place and the food. I selected a dish with... More

It was date night, time to escape the kids and for my sweetheart and I to have a quiet meal. We're slowly exploring fun/interesting places in Madison this year. Since she was raised in Venezuela and I've visited Venezuela several times, we couldn't resist. The location isn't great, along one of those non-descript blocks to East Wash, out towards East...
