They have good brunch with less structured seating. Order your food and wait for a spot to free up. They have outdoor seating in the summer. It's also a great space for private events, such as rehearsal dinners.

If you want to experience the true Madison vibe, Marigold Kitchen is a great place to go. A block away from the capital, the atmosphere has all the lingering ambiance of the 60s without a whiff of pot or patchouli. Menus are by the door and orders are taken in line by the kitchen staff. Tables are catch as catch... More

In Madison for a family wedding and happened on this place. Food was great with a pretty extensive menu, and the staff were enthusiastic, helpful, and very congenial. If I lived here, I'd be there every weekend :-)

A busy little place where you can see your food being cooked to order. Serves the most awesome blueberry pancakes and orange butter! Delicious!

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Marigold Kitchen. The place was crowded but this did not effect the great service and food. Nice variety of breakfast fare...their specialty appears to be the scrambler. I had one and it was excellent. On a personal note...this was our first dine out with our then two week old granddaughter and it made the... More

Had an early lunch at this place. I ordered the chop salad but asked for vinaigrette rather than ranch. Very good salad although a few more beans would have been good. I still would like to try their breakfast as I hear it is very good

We stayed overnight in Madison for a wedding and didn't want to eat at the hotel restaurant for breakfast. After searching online in the capitol area and confirming with the front desk staff, we chose Marigold Kitchen. None of us were dissatisfied. I had read about the scrambler and my DW and I both chose the daily entree. This version... More

The Marigold Kitchen offers their establishment for evening events and we hosted our son and future daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner there May 2. We had the entire place all to ourselves. We were treated like royalty by the staff! It was decorated with flowers and candles. Hors d' oeuvres were set out and the bar was open and ready to serve... More

We visited two days in a row on a quick trip to Madison. Our first visit was early afternoon, and we were able to order breakfast. I had granola pancakes, my husband French toast, and our daughter had eggs. All were well prepared and presented. We liked it so much we returned the next morning for breakfast sandwiches - fried... My husband and I both had the egg scramble. Our toast was cold and the potatos were too spicy for me to eat, but the eggs were good. I also had a mimosa that was delightful. I will say the cost was a little high for just some eggs and toast. So for the price, I think Sardines is better.... More
