My husband and I both had the egg scramble. Our toast was cold and the potatos were too spicy for me to eat, but the eggs were good. I also had a mimosa that was delightful. I will say the cost was a little high for just some eggs and toast. So for the price, I think Sardines is better.... More

The duck confit hash(and potatoes) are worth driving for. Easy street parking on weekends. The "heritage" Bloody Mary will warm the cockles of your heart.

Marigold's Potatoes and Pancakes are out of this world. But Sadly I refuse to take part and enjoy the food of a company that discriminates against those with disability. Owners John and Phillip are wonderful people and owners of other amazing restaurants such as Sardine and Gates and Brovi. I don't think they realize the unethical and illegal principles that... More

Probably the best place in Madison (Especially downtown) to have breakfast. You order at the counter, but they have tables inside (and outside in nice weather). I especially like the breakfast sandwich.

The Marigold has the best breakfast sandwich in town. It has just the right blend of cheese, egg and delicious bun. The service is fast, and the place is always busy, but it's worth the wait. We usually sit at the counter and watch the hubbub ensue.

The food here is really pretty good and the place is situated conveniently to the Capitol and lots of downtown businesses so it is quite busy. The food is the redeeming quality since the room is tight, echoes a lot, and usually is so full of folks that it is hard to have a conversation with the person you are... More

This is not your typical Bacon and Eggs or Buttermilk Pancake breakfast. These breakfast specialties are all prepared with the imagination of a true chef. Seating in this small restaurant is first come, first serve, but the helpful staff make a good effort to see that each group that receives its food (you order first and pick up later) has... More

Went back this morning (3/1/14) to Marigold's Kitchen at 7am. Ordered 2 Scramblers and 1 French Toast. However, this time I forgot to ask to have our plates heated in order to keep the great food hot. And sure enough when our breakfast was brought out the plates were cold and the food, especially the French Toast, were already cold... More

We had scramblers, Marigold breakfast sandwiches, and poached eggs. Hot coffee, fresh orange juice, and Coconut cake - so much yumminess!
