Good but not great

I went to Harvest with a group from work. There were 17 of us. We had reserved a few weeks in advance. The restaurant has 2 long benches on opposite walls, with connecting tables and then a couple smaller tables in the middle. Rather than putting our group together all along one wall, we were... read more

My co-workers and I did a group dinner here and I am glad we did. Our sever was very good and attentive. They had a great wine selection and we got a nice table near the window overlooking the street and capitol. We got the Wisconsin Rabbit Confit to start and it was great. I got the trout for my... Three members of our family dined at Harvest last weekend. It was WONDERFUL! You could taste the ingredients, the food was fantastic! Service great - but recommend reservations! I felt for the "drop ins" hoping for a table. Prices reasonable, based on the quality, could easy charge more, grateful they don't!

Not worth the money or location in a city like Madison that has amazing restaurants!! Overpriced food that you can make it better yourself at home by following the first recipe you find online. The food was terrible and not worth the price. I went there for the Summer Restaurant Week 2015. As for the food, I tried the so-called... More

Outstanding food with imaginative sauces that don't use a lot if oil, butter or cream. Very good cocktails and wine list.

Arriving here to meet friends in front of the State Capitol, my expectations were high. I started at the bar, and the service was excellent and huge pours for drinks. For dinner we tried many items off of the small menu. The carpaccio of lamb was tender and flavorful and perfect. The grilled scallop appetizer included two giant sea scallops... More

3 people for dinner. Interesting and not over-sized menu. White table cloths but not too fancy. Not obnoxiously expensive, but not cheap for Madison. Food was very tasty and staff was quite nice. Delivery of food was really slow, however. Place was busy but there were some empty tables ... not sure why the kitchen was overwhelmed

This place is so classy and professsional, from the second you walk in the door, with delightful service, great cocktails and a really cleverly constructed and intriguing menu. It gets better - the food is even above expectation! Great location too, with outdoor seating for fine evenings. It's unlikely I'll ever get back to Madison - that's a shame because... More

The atmosphere is okay, the service was very good, the food was average. The side dishes were the stars - the veggies were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, none of the main courses can boast the same thing. The best tasting entrée was a chicken breast and it was a bit too salty. The price was reasonable considering the portion size,... We would have liked to give a better review, but there were a number of glitches in the meal/service. First, it was a hot evening and we were looking forward to a cold rose' wine. The menu showed it by the glass but the server said we were reviewing an old menu and none was available. Then we ordered the... More
