Visited Harvest during Madison Restaurant week so the options were limited but just fine. $25 for a choice from 3 appetizers, main dishes and dessert. I had wasabi cucumber gazpacho, my date had the pate. For the meal, I had gnocci and my date had pork shoulder tamales. Dessert was cheesecake w/ an herb crust and very berry sorbet. Everything... Went hear when we got engaged and again for our 1 year engagement anniversary. Both times we had mediocre meals. Odd flavor pairings and very high prices. Service is pretty poor. There are better spots on the Square to try.

Slow slow slow service. Did I mention slow? In every aspect - oh, no one got you bread? - halfway the the meal...no....same with the one drink that was ordered. Kale was an epic fail. However the roasted chicken was excellent. Mushroom Wellington was pretty good, but the accompaniments were very anemic. Long done with dinner and nothing...no dessert menu,... More

Harvest was once considered one of the best restaurants in Madison, so I was pretty disappointed upon my last visit. Service was very slow and not very attentive. The waiter was nice enough, but didn't check with the table for quite some time after the food was served. Food was really pretty poorly prepared, scallops and pork loin were cold... More

We've eaten here before, but it was several years ago. That first visit was a lovely experience and we looked forward to another nice dinner. However this time it was a very bad experience. First, if the menu would be limited on a hoiday, that is fine, but be honest about it up front. Don't wait until the order is... More

This was our second time at this place. We had a great experience the first time but this time it was really disappointing. The mushroom wellington was lacking in flavor. Rhubarb ice cream was lacking rhubarb. Service was slow. We also overheard that the air conditioning had failed and was causing delays in the cooking, maybe this is why it... More

I have been to Harvest couple of times in last one month on weekdays for evening drinks and dinner. Not as good in comparison to other eating joints on capitol square. Once ended up here because the waiting time at Graze was too much.

Our first experience at Harvest awhile back was disappointing in terms of the food and value, but we thought we'd give it another try with an out-of-town guest when two nearby restaurants had 45-minute waits, and Harvest could seat us immediately. The first disappointment came when they told us they were out of morels despite them being on the menu.... More

This was I believe the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant, and the food was not that good either. We were a party of 6 with reservations at 7 when the restaurant was still pretty empty so the quality of the service was even more shocking. Four of us arrived 30 minutes early and were seated. We... We were a party of 4, who shared a trio of first courses preceded by an excellent cold rhubarb soup served as an amuse bouche. The appetizer portions were small for the price. We had seared scallops and pate a fois gras. The latter can't be had in my home state of CA anymore. The main courses were well prepared... More
