Perfect!

We hadn't been to the Wonder Bar for a number of years, but our friends invited us as they go often. Our server, "Sir Brandon" (sic) pretty much set the tone for the evening. He was friendly, engaging and very welcoming. He knocked it out of the park for us. My wife and are have been in the... read more

A throw back to another day, a Mad Men kind of world where middle-aged people drink cocktails and eat meat. They should really let people smoke, to give it the entire throwback feel. The menu is terrifically antiquated: everything is heavy and caloric. That said, the food, though not interesting, is quite well done for what it is. They know... More

When we first came in we were greeted with a roaring fireplace and Sinatra music lingering in the background. We decided to go upstairs where we were seated at another fireplace. We had a wonderful waitress named CoCo who suggested choices which we appreciated. I had an amazing steak as did my husband but he was tempted to choose the... More

I have been to the wonder bar several times. Each visit is an enjoyable experience. I have one issue. It has a very small bar with about 12 stools which they serve food at. We have gone a little early for our reservation to have a drink before we sit down only to find people eating at the bar. So... More

The food is excellent but the environment isn't so good. By 6:00 there are a bunch of people who have been taking advantage of happy hour and they are loud and obnoxious. If you happen to be unlucky enough to be seated near the bar, as we were, it will impact your experience. Don't expect quiet dining. Another downside to... More

This is our favorite place to go for steak & to celebrate special events. Great service, food and we especially love to have the table in the turret.

Ate upstairs...and loved the charm of the place. The rib eye was awesome, but can't stop craving the hash browns. AMAZING!!!!!! The service was great...waitress was so friendly! Can't wait to go back...was such a great place to meet up with friends. Wouldn't really recommend for families with children. It feels more like an adult place to hang out.

The food was awesome. I wanted the sea bass, but they were so I had the salmon instead. I chose the special of tomato and crab soup rather than a salad and my other choice for a side was the twice baked potato. All were excellent. The other 3 at my table choose steaks and all were extremely pleased.

What more can you ask for in a restaurant? Couple all of this with a professional staff it makes for a wonderful evening. We sat by the huge old fireplace which was cozy. The dinner options all sounded good, so we went with New York Strip and the Filet. The Strip is huge - so bring your appetite or a... More

Great food in an historical setting - the restaurant was built in the 1920's by Chicago mob gang leaders. And was a hang-out for mobsters - to drink and eat great food. They still have the menu from 1934 hanging on the wall, where the most expensive dish is the steak - at $1!!! We hadn't made a reservation and... More
