We come up for all the Badger football games and come over for a great treat. This place makes he best, freshest, most flavorful ice cream ever. You can even see the cows getting milked right down the street. This place has had our family licking our lips for years.

Our family loved this place. The ice cream is delicious (the key lime was my favorite) and the prices are great. My boys also liked going upstairs to see where they make the ice cream and other dairy products. This was really a fun stop for our family.

Wonderful ice cream. We drove in twice from the dells for the ice cream. They changed up the flavors within a few days so we had plenty of variety to chose from. All flavor we tried were excellent. hint: Take your ice cream to the back of the Terrence and enjoy the lake. We would head back here the next... More

There is limited parking up front, but it's well worth a visit to this campus staple. The line can be quite long but it's definitely cheaper than their Union location. Along with lunch options and a small refrigerated items area with cheese and half gallon packaged ice cream, the main attraction is the hand dipped ice cream. They have regular... More

This was by far, the best blue moon ice cream I have ever had in my life, and trust me, I've had a lot. It's just so good! If you're not a blue moon person, then you can try one of their other various flavors which are good too.

I've been visiting Babcock my whole life. It doesn't get old. It's fun to walk or bike here. Best scream in town. Their paninis are surprisingly great too...and customizable!

This one has the first ever Dairy School which now does sophisticated research and teaching in food science, etc. It's ice cream and dairy store is often visited by visitors to the school and to Madison. The sandwich of the day was a chicken, pepper jack wrap, and the ice cream was superb!! Cute little tables, casual atmosphere. Tour the ice cream making process going on upstairs, if you have time.

Wow. The university makes its own ice cream. Makes me want to be a badger. The ice cream was exceptionally fresh and creamy. Yum.

With the exception of the two or three most expensive "premium" flavors, Babcock Hall uses gelatin in all their ice creams. So know when you go that you're eating crushed up animal bones - usually with high fructose corn syrup - instead of the standard ice cream ingredients (cream, sugar, etc).
