Where else can you get full-flavored ice cream and other yummy dairy products made by dairy students right on campus? Babcock ice cream is simply the best, hands down.

I ate a lot of Babcock Ice Cream as a student and recommend others do the same. On one of my visits as an alum, I lamented that I couldn't bring home cheese because of long travel time, but was told by the Babcock staff that I could leave cheese unrefrigerated for a certain amount of and it would be... I highly recommend taking a little detour to enjoy this amazing ice cream, you can tour the dairy as well if you desire. My favorite ice cream is whatever they are serving, all flavor share good. In general they have 10-12 choices. The store is only a block away from Allen Centennial Gardens, enjoy your ice cream while walking thru... More

We stopped on our way through to Chicago. Loved the ice cream which was a good sized portion. The staff was very friendly as was the atmosphere. Being it was in WI, was disappointed they didn't have more cheese. I would recommend this as a stop to anyone, great place!

The ice cream here is great. This is a UW tradition to have a Babcock Hall Dairy Ice cream in cold Wisconsin days. The servings are also huge. There are some raps and other food items that are good too.

We stopped by here and bought a wrap to take with us out to Picnic Point. I chose the Bulky Badger and changed the cheese since my son does not like the pepper cheese and I was going to share with him. the guy who put it together did a great job and before folding it up asked if I... More

There are other items on the menu, but they are known for their ice cream. The ice cream is the smoothest I have ever had. You've got to try it. Some unique flavors. Metered parking in front of the store was easy the day we were there.

Years ago when I applied to UW, my dad accompanied me on my trip and fell in love with Babcock ice cream. I think he was as excited for me to become a Badger as was I. This past trip I introduced my husband to Babcock and he fell in love with it as well. I missed having the Barry... More

Take a nice long walk from the square down State Street to Babcock Hall. This will help burn off some of the calories you are about to have as you treat yourself to this deliciously smooth ice cream. Don't let the long line of people scare you off - the line moves quickly and it is well worth the wait... More
