Delicious and delightful

Small cozy ambience. We had a great wine (Landmark)to start the meal followed by the fabulous date appetizer and duck confit. Excellent waiter who advised us on the game hen which was very tasty and moist. I had small portion which was plenty. Lamb cassoulet and scallops also well liked. Dessert... read more

As with Mr. Muramoto's sushi restaurants (Sushi Muramoto and Muramoto's), you will not be disappointed with your selection. Never a problem to mix up the sides. Always a wonderful experience to eat here.

This was a pre-opera dinner, so didnt want to eat so much that I fell asleep during Sweeney Todd. Wish granted, establishment has small plates available. Started with before dinner drinks, and ordered a baguette plate to accompany dinner and soup/salad. Spouse had lobster bisque, we shared a bit, it was good-I had duck confit salad, bit heavy on cabbage,... More

I will admit up front, my review will be a bit harsh on what was a nice dining experience. The first thing that bothered me was arriving on time for a 5pm dinner reservation and not having the wait staff ready. We sat for about 10 minutes before our waitress come to our table and there were two tables seated.... More

Went here on a Friday night. We really enjoyed our meal and the charcuterie plate with some additional cheeses were excellent. After that we split the cassoulet, which while a bit dry, was very tasty and not loaded with fat like we have had in the past. Great wine selection, and excellent service. They were running a special, which we... More

This is a nice little place and on a Wednesday night was not particularly busy. They have a small plate and large plate option for almost all entree's. This is a nice feature as it allowed us to vary the meal with appetizers and dessert without overeating. A nice selection of wines and pairings. The service was a bit slow... More

My wife and I stopped at 43 North for a quick dinner. We only had an hour before we had to leave to catch a movie at Sundance over at Hilldale. We started out the evening with two drinks; my wife had a speciality cocktail, and I had a tap microbrew. Two appetizers, the marinated olives and the salmon tartar,... More

I ahve been to 43 North a number of times with my wife, and it has always been EXCELLENT. The other night I took my group from work out for a business dinner. The service was great as usual, and the manager or owner is also excellent. The food in general was very good, especailly the beet salad and scallops;... More

First time to 43 North and recommended by a local as a great restaurant. I was a bit surprised that on a Friday night we readily got a reservation and when we arrived we saw we did not need them all night. (The night before we waited 45 minutes at a less upscale place). Draw your own conclusions. Very nice,... More

Luckily we visited Madison on a high school graduation night. Downtown was not crowded and the restaurant the same. We were seated immediately upon arriving. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs and explained the menu thoroughly. He offered wine suggestions which we readily accepted. Good call on our part! We ordered 2 starters; roasted dates-outstanding, and a... More
