Description: Batch Bakehouse is a small bakery that specializes in Croissants and classic French Baguette. We bake fresh from scratch every day. Offering a variety of artisanal loaf breads and a wide selection of pastry. Our chefs seem to put something new in the case every day, stop in to see what we've baked today. Our croissant items tend to sell out early, so come early and often to get the best selection; or simply call ahead and we'll hide your order behind the counter.

Stopped twice during our visits to Madison. The pain au chocolat were quite good as were the almond croissants (though they could use a bit more almond paste). These were some of the best we've had since we lived in Europe. When we are back in town we will stop again.

I just wish this place were a little closer to home. A full service bakery with a cafe on the side. This place has wonderful baked goods. I admit I've always bought to take home and never eaten in. They've got a big schedule posted inside so you can see what to expect when for the basics. The croissants here... More

We get pastries from Batch when we are visiting Madison. The varieties are great, and the quality of the baked goods is top notch. I love anything they make with lemon in it, and the orange flavored pastries are pretty amazing, too. Monkey bread muffins are a must have, and the scones are very good as well. Prices are a... More

I visited this place to bring some goodies to two meetings, and they were definitely goodies. The croissants are the best ones I ever have in Madison. The bakers are not shy to put great ingredients, and I especially love those with almonds and pecans. The ham and gruyere croissants are great with a thick layer of ham, the filled... More

Went to this bakery looking for something to go with coffee in the morning and boy did this place fit the bill!. Amazing selection of fresh bake goods in every price range. The service was first rate! Will definitely make this a go to stop for baked goods.

We arrived in Madison more towards the noon hour on Sunday. This bakery has a wonderful, huge very appetizing selection of breads and pastries. It was kind of tough to make our selection, but we did. We loved the gingerbread muffin..molasses sweet with a lemon glaze and also a pocket with spinach, cheese and bacon. Unfortunately, many things were gone.... More

This was our first visit. They have a large variety of items and a nice little area to eat outdoors. We tried several different items and all agreed that the Vanilla Swirl was the best. The items are about $3.00 a piece.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for coffee and a cake. Good selection on offer. We choose the apple cake which was amazing. Had a coffee with it which was also quick good. (It's from a dispenser though)

Offerings change daily, so you cannot count on the same items being offered day-to-day. Recently had great savory: Carmelized onion-walnut-cheese strudel made with croissant dough; mini-quiches with veggies and bacon or andouille sausage; croissants with cheese or cheese and ham. Wish they used mushrooms and spinach more often as fillings, but when they do the results are delectable. Recent sweets:... More
