A little strange decor and off beat, but worth the trip.

We had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised at the tastiness and quality of the food. We had soups and sandwiches and all were excellent. We especially liked a side salad with edamames. We brought it home to see if we can dissect it to find the ingredients. Even the coleslaw was delicious... read more

Went on a Saturday 10:30 a.m. with my 2 sisters. We were seated right away. Decor is interesting, eclectic, mismatched and warm and quaint enough. Staff were friendly, not pushy. Coffee refills kept coming which was great. There are a few interesting things on the menu and some old standbys for those not wanting to venture. The egg sandwich that... More

I absolutely loved this place. You could feel the love right when you walked in the door. There's a great, eclectic energy and everyone seemed so happy to be there. We had a large group of 10 and sat in the back. I had the mushroom/gruyere strata and it was to die for. The award winning breakfast sandwich was a... More

My wife and I had lunch there recently. I was looking for a place to have a little tea and snacks and we went in and was totally amazed at the food. The 666 chili was great. Each sandwich tasted great and nice black, loose leaf tea. My wife said the coffee was excellent. Ryan, our waiter was great with... More

Daisy Cafe and Cupcakery is much more than fancy cupcakes. Their food is delicious, diverse, and good for you. My favorite is the meatless loaf, made with rice and veggies with a wonderful tomato sauce on the side, and my husband is always happy with the fish offerings. We eat out a lot, and Daisy Cafe is a staple, because... More

We heard how terrific daisies was from our family who live in Menoma. They said as our visit we just had to go to daisies. We were very glad that we did. I had a delicious cod sandwich with excellent coleslaw. My husband had a grilled chicken with goat cheese and grilled onion sandwich. Particularly liked the exams salad. To... More

Went for dinner, which might not be this places' strong suit. Heard rave reviews about this cafe, but found it very disappointing. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about. We had unexplained very, very slow service without an explanation. It took so long to place our order I almost left, and then it took forever to get... More

Went during Madison restaurant week. Was glad it was a pre-fixe price of $25 & I did not have to pay full price. For app I got the 5 onion / artichoke bruschetta. That was really good. For entree I got the steak with reduced wine. I think it was an end piece I got and I really have no... More

You know when you walk in the door that you're in a university district. The decor is artsy, offbeat, and charming, from the folk singer manikin to the O'Keeffe-inspired painting, to the stained glass panels and the wine bottles. Our party of four had all different and all excellent breakfasts, served by an ebullient waiter. The menu went beyond standard... More

BEWARE!!! Take it from a customer with a child who has biopsy-confirmed celiac disease -- the cupcakes displayed as "gluten-free" are NOT GLUTEN-FREE. A post-vomit phone message with a reasonable request to speak to a manager about this was ignored.
