I've been coming to Dohban for a while now - bringing family and friends to experience some ethnic flavours of Nepal (think Indian with a more earthy / less spiced feel) with an international interpretation. Using locally-grown, grass-fed meats and organic vegetables, the food is punctuated with delightful flavours that tease the palate. Today, I had brunch. Finding an interpretation... More

This is one of our family's favorite ethic restaurants in Madison! I can't speak to all the entrees on the menu, because my husband and I always order the same dish: the Chicken Tagine for him and the Coconut Chicken for me- absolutely perfect! There are several dishes on the menu for our vegetarian daughter and the appetizers are delicious,... More

The ambiance, service, food, and mojitos were all great! I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal.

If you like Nepalese food with a mix of other cultures, this is place to be. The food was good with normal human portions. The only downside is that it took a while to get our meals.

My visit was a spur-of-the-moment decision and I was not disappointed. I began with iced tea infused with mint and cinnamon...yum! I wasn't sure whether to have a green salad or dal with my entree, but chose the salad as I thought the dal would be too heavy. My waitress brought my salad--displayed beautifully on the plate with a light... More

I was at Dobhan for what was essentially a group event where we were served many dishes family-style. The service was very friendly and accommodating, which wasn't easy given our large group. The Vegetable fritters, Flatbread with Dips, Samosas, Jasmine Rice and Coconut Chicken were my personal favorites, but others enjoyed the Lamb dish as well. I found the Tilapia... More

This restaurant pleases everyone in our family-not an easy thing to do. The food is always excellent. The main stay is Nepalese food, but there are often nights with Mexican or other ethnic food. The Dal, a lentil soup, is delicious. The side vegetables are fresh and never over cooked. My husband loves the veggie Saag--cooked black beans and spinach... More

Dobhan is an ethnic restaurant that serves food with a Nepalese twist. I have been here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is tasty, freshly cooked to order, and served with a smile. The dahl soup is exceptional and there is a great range of teas. The restaurant is small and cozy with an... More

The food here is really good and pretty unique, love the sauces the come with the dishes here - yogurt and mint sauces. The rolled savory crepe (Masala Dosa) is my absolute favorite and a great value! The service can be slow, however.. so don't go if you're in a hurry or make sure they know that when we first... Had never been here before. Not really sure about it ahead of time. Food was excellent. Soup as starter was great. Drinks were strong. All 4 people at our table had different meals. All very good. We ate every bit. Nice portion size. I had coconut chicken, full of flavor. Atmosphere was very nice. Easy to talk but felt cozy.... More
