One of a kind

It's been here for 60 or 70 years. Come early or wait for breakfast. A classic. A local brought us here. Try the Reuben Omelet (like a reuben sandwich, inside an omelet). They call their breakfast potatoes

It's been here since the ,60s and, being across the street from Camp Randall has fed Wisconson Badger athletes and others daily. Not a "must see" by any means but an excellent off the beaten track joint for a good diner-type breakfast or lunch.

A must do. They have huge portions of wonderful pancakes. A half order is 1 pancake that covers your plate and is too much to eat for me. A full order is 2 cakes and my husband could only eat part of it. The line to sit was out the door to get in but very worth the wait. It... More

Famous for amazing breakfast -GREAT prices! Badger theme is quaint, but food is spectacular. Crowded, but tables turn quickly. Be hungry and enjoy

Stayed at the HotelRed who suggested this place for breakfast. After seeing the size of their omelettes and not that hungry went with 2 eggs and 2 pancakes. Waiter said better off just getting 1 pancake when it arrived couldn't believe how big it was. Place is old and looks run down but just what you'd expect and want next... More

Delicious food and economical prices, at huge portions. My only complaint is how busy it always is, which just speaks to how excellent it is. There is a line out the door nearly every Saturday/Sunday morning, meaning we don't eat here as often as we'd like.

I had a burger and fries. The portions were truck-stop size, fresh, and delicious. The fries were real potatoes, with skin, perfectly cooked. I almost couldn't finish the burger, and I love a good hamburger. The grilled onions were a plus. I also had a root beer float. Splendid. Between the food and the red-&-white diner-style decor, I felt I... More

I've eaten here a few times over the years. You get an enormous amount of food and the price is quite fair. But the quality of the food just isn't that good. Pancakes are heavy, the corned beef hash is mediocre, hash browns are usually not crispy and are greasy, toast is dry, the gravy on mashed potatoes and roast... More

We had great food with huge portions. The griddle cakes are these huge thick pancakes with apples oatmeal and raisins. Basically they are moist coffee cakes. Awesome!
