This is a reasonably priced local establishment to get lots of regular food at a fair price. The servings are HUGE - if you go away hungry, it's you're own fault. The food is standard good - better than Perkins. This was a college favorite that we tried again as 50 year old adults. Madison has so many great options... More

If people tell you to eat here, then they must really like you. :) All jokes aside, the milkshakes and the blueberry pancakes and the omelets are fantastic. Yes, this isn't your low-cal breakfast diner, yes, it's worth it. If you have the option of going for the first time on a week day - do it. The weekend wait... More

This is a famous and popular place. We first saw it while driving by on a Sunday morning. At least 30 people were waiting in line just to get in. We decided to go on a Wednesday morning. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. Plates piled extremely high with potatoes and eggs topped with shredded cheese appeared to be... More

Love Mickies, it is a great place to go to get a large portioned delicious breakfast. Make sure to bring cash, they don't take cards. If going mid or late morning on a weekend (especially on a weekend with events going on at UW) be ready to wait for a seat. The wait might be outside (inside isn't huge) so... More

Great food and prices!! Try the griddle cakes, cheesy eggs and sausage. Beware!! There's enough food to feed like 3-4 people per order. GREAT!!

This place must be serving on feelings of nostalgia. The food is mediocre. My potatoes in the scramble today were undercooked, bacon greasy and wilty. Two of us ordered cinnamon buns, one was served piping warm, the other stone cold. Inconsistency. There must be better places in Madison for breakfast. Skip this joint!

Great dive for breakfast. Just plain eggs, potatoes, meat and coffee. Wonderful anytime but even better with a hangover.

Excellent breakfast served by friendly staff at low prices. Huge portions. Scrambler is their specialty but pancakes and French toast are also great. Get there early to avoid the long lines. Cash only. Located close to Camp Randall stadium but on game day it is extremely crowded. Try early Sunday morning to avoid a long wait.

Found this gem on TripAdvisor. It was worth waiting in line for. The Mickie Burger and yanks were delicious and the strawberry malt was the best I've ever had! Be sure to have cash because they don't except other payment types. Don't miss it!

This place is a dream come true for heavy eaters. The prices on greasy spoon classics are very reasonable and the food is generally very rich and tasty in a down-home, vanilla sense. Don't look for fancy food combinations or an intimate brunch experience here. The often-packed, casual, diner-style breakfast specialist is often loud to the point of being rowdy.... More
