Stopped in on our way to Dolores and the Anasazi cultural Center. This was a good lunch...burger and salad for me, Ham and egg sandwich for her. Price is right...real down home feel... with a hanging artificial flower basket count of 8! Good prices. Yummy fries!

Came here on a recommendation from our waitress at Las Casita de Cortez and since our dinner the night for was great we figured she knew good food, and she did! We again had a great waitress who kept our coffee cups topped off, our orders taken and filled quickly. The breakfast was fairly standard but prepared very well. You... More

We arrived just at the changeover between breakfast and lunch, and we're offered the main menu. We asked if we could order breakfast and they happily obliged us with breakfast menus and subsequent great food. The green chili is superb! No kick, but loaded with flavor. Bacon was cooked crispy the way I like. Pancakes were very tasty. I would... More

This diner is very quaint complete with jukeboxes. They have signs posted saying that they don't take credit/debit cards and only pre approved checks. The food was ok, it tasted like something I would have ordered from Denny's, nothing special. Prices were more than Denny's but still reasonable and the service was fair. Bottom line, if you are going for... More

We ate there three times. It was just simple. Eggs and sausage and hash browns and toast or biscuit and gravy. You can't get better then that. Thank Your EL Grande. Loved it.. If we go back we will frequent again!!!!!!!

Enroute to the 4 corners from Durango, stopped at this lovely diner. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A great small city diner along the main drag. Other customers spoke to us and we had a lovely visit.

Burgers were great, but when the hotroast beef sandwich another customer had ordered went by we knew we should have had that. Exactly what we expected with a downtown diner and the food very good! I expect the breakfast is excellent.

Using coments from Trip Advisor we stopped here for breakfast after leaving Mesa Verde NP headed West. Food was hearty and delicious. Staff was friendly and quick. We were obviously not regulars but several customers spoke to us. The decor hasn't changed since the 1960s and is authentic. Take the option of biscuits and gravy instead of toast, you will... More

Love the breakfast and they also have very good lunch but kind of greasy but other than that a great small town atmosphere!

food and service was good along with the price. Place was clean. No debit or credit cards allowed. That was the only drawback.
