With limited funds, we decided to try out the Far View Lounge for dinner. The appetizers were fantastic. Locally inspired dishes, perfect for sharing. (Make sure to get at least one dish per person). We ate on the balcony, with breathtaking views of Mesa Verde National Park. Decently priced, EXCELLENT food, and fantastic views. Couldn't have asked for more!

If you have to wait for a table in the Metate Room, hang out here - on top of the world. You can see horizon to horizon - the outdoor seating a must if it's warm enough. Specialty drinks are good and the Saturday night live music an extra plus.

We wanted a casual place to dine and this worked out well. It opens at 4pm, they serve the same appetizers as the Metate Room, plus a kids' menu. You can easily make a meal from the appetizers, sit out on the deck, have drinks, and not have to do a formal dinner downstairs. Works great if you have kids!... More

We didn't eat here, so our review is limited. After dinner downstairs in the Metate Room, my wife and I went up for drinks and mainly for the fresh air views. The bar is small inside, but the two outside patios are really where you want to sit. The bartender was fast and friendly, even going so far as to... More

We had a great meal at Metate downstairs. Asked our server if they served dessert upstairs in the lounge as we wanted to watch some Olympics. He said yes, so we paid our bill and headed up. The inside area is not very large, with maybe 8 tables. We had to turn a two top sideways and borrow seats from... More

This place should be considered the 4th eating establishment at Mesa Verde and is rarely mentioned. This is good for dinner if you don't want the cafeteria experience of Far View Terrace, fast food experience of Spruce Tree or the fine dining experience of the Metate Room. It is located at the Far View Lodge main building on the 2nd... More
