We went for breakfast. My brother ordered a simple bacon and eggs and he said it was good. I ordered a cinnamon roll and chai latte. The cinnamon roll was fresh and warm. It was not as yummy gooey as a gourmet roll, but it was very good. The latte was actually excellent. The service was great, not overly happy... More

My girlfriend and I stopped in for the first time since they moved to their new location downtown (above photo is old location). I had a burger and she had breakfast and both arrived quickly and cooked to specifications. The music in the bar area where we sat was a bit loud and repetitive. The service was friendly! They do... Mr. Happy's is conveniently located in the middle of town and it is easy to find because it is bright yellow. There is tons of parking in the lot. There is a big bar, tables and bigscreen in one (often noisy) section and tables and the bakery case in the other. I think their orange/cranberry/pecan scones are the best scones I... More

One side is a new rendition of an old restaurant, complete with a dessert bakery counter, and the other side is a tavern. We enjoyed a lunch of burgers, each one coming exactly as ordered. Three of us ordered Veggie burgers with black beans and corn mixed in. Really tasty! The other ordered a chicken breast burger, perfectly done. Abe... More

We had a few breakfasts here in early October. This restaurant does a very good job of breakfast. The hashbrowns are very good. They bake their own breads there so the toast that you get is very good as well. I really liked the multigrain toast..some of the best I've ever had. Bacon was thick and flavourful and the eggs... Great place to go for breakfast - really good homemade bread and fresh made hashbrowns, yummy grits with cheese and jalapenos, thick and crisp bacon and my husband's ham slice with his eggs was huge and tasty. Quick service, would be a good family place.

It was empty when we stopped for lunch, and our server wasn't very excited. My Cobb salad was fine, but the members of our party that had the burger said it was awful, also the fries were very greasy.

We really enjoyed this restaurant for breakfast. The pastries were delicious. But the hash browns were the best I have ever eaten. And I LOVE hash browns! If you are in Cortez for breakfast, you will not be sorry you stopped in here. Lots of menu choices and everything we had was good.

It just doesn't get any better than this. Top rated in Cortez for the simple reason it is the best! We happen to hit it on open mic night and were blown away by the talent in Cortez that is also drawn to performing at this venue. Loved everything about this place, service, friendly patrons, and especially the food! Will... More

We were glad to find a place that served breakfast for lunch. That sounded really good to 75% of my party. The good things - the food was mostly very good. The breakfast burritos were tasty but they weren't 100% warm inside. Their hash browns were really good. The coffee was decent. The medium things - the service was pretty... More
