I have had the pleasure of visiting the Spruce Tree Coffee House for the past six months while working in the area. My weekly visit was the highlight of my working week. The coffee is wonderful, the food delicious, and the service both relaxed and excellent. The staff are all friendly, and everyone has a commitment to high-quality, healthy, and... More

great coffee, great burritos! The staff seemed a little overwhelmed by a "large order" for 3 adults and 1 child but it was worth the wait. Just what we were looking for to caffeinate before a long car trip

They were super friendly and helpful. The coffee was very good and the breakfast was awesome. Lots of good burrito options and green chile. I had a multigrain bagel which was very good.

We visited here on our way back to Durango from Telluride and came away completely satisfied. We had time to speak with the owner who was very accommodating as the Sunday morning crowd rolled through. I had a Mexican Mocha with nutmeg, cinnamon and chile powder (that's right) and before we were two miles away I wanted another to get... More

I'm very utilitarian when it comes to coffee, strong and black. It was mid-morning in June, I got the iced coffee, it was wonderful, strong, but not bitter. My two adult children who were with me on our sight-seeing trip are more discerning. The banter between my son and the barista was hysterical, discussing the merits of iced chai tea... More

Fine coffee with a good variety of mixed coffee drinks. Prepared foods and again a good variety of quick foods. A nice old house and excellent friendly service. Right on the main drag. Top one or two easy.

On our way to Mesa Verde National Park we came across Spruce Tree Espresso House along the north side of the main highway in Cortez, Colorado. The home made pastries are delicious, and there is also a blackboard with specials for breakfast and lunch. In addition to indoor seating, there is also a covered patio in the back where you... Been coming here since it was Spruce Tree Coffee House. Look forward to it every trip, wish they had a location where I live. Coffee was excellent, not too sweet, not too bitter, not too anything - just perfect. Staff was AWESOME, setting was very cute and architectural. What can I say I just love this place!
