The food was very good, and the service was very good. The atmosphere was good, and it wasn't too noisy like some restaurants in town are.

We were directed to this restaurant by the front desk lady at our hotel and it was a great recommendation. On a street that is abit faded and dingy, Pepperhead was a bright, modern feeling, contemporary open space run by a team of young energetic people. We were there on a Sat night and at first we were the only... More

A very nice find in Cortez. The food was a great twist on a southwest theme. Green chili added to a dish is what we were looking for. The staff was very friendly and the food came promptly. It has a nice atmosphere, low lighting and beautiful Native American rug wall hangings. A good choice!

Went with girlfriends on a Friday at lunchtime. We were seated promptly and served plenty of chips and delicious salsa. Good Mexican food in the California style of Mexican food. I had stacked enchiladas with green salsa that was similar to Chipotle =very tasty.

We ate here twice during our visit to Mesa Verde. We were hoping to find New Mexico style Mexican food. We didn't think this was but we still thought it was good. I had carnitas both times, once pork, once chicken. I thought the chicken was the best. My husband liked their chili rellanos. I would have liked to have... More

My favorite here is the salad 1/2 sized with pork and their homemade chipotle salad dressing. Staff is very helpful and has great attitudes. Friends enjoyed stuffie and chimichanga. Clean restaurant.

A little tricky for us to find but an excellent twist on Mexican food. The waitress was very helpful and the place was charming.

I had a good experience at the Pepperhead one year ago so I decided to visit again while passing through in August 2014. The microbrew draft beer was good as was salsa and chips. The main course (Tampequeña was disappointing and frankly a bid odd to my taste. Overall I would say that I did not enjoy this dining experience... More

The food tastes great and the staff are friendly. I love the stuffed sopapilla with beef. Most of the staff remember our order when we go in. They also offer a discount to our local school district staff. Thank you for supporting the educators of our community

This place can accommodate large groups in good time. It is busy and a bit loud, but don't let that steer you away if you like quality New Mexican cuisine that's spicy but not ridiculously hot. The green chili salsa is the best I've ever tasted. The mole' rich but delectable. Get there early!
