My husband and I are transplants to Cortez from big cities (Denver and LA) and are picky about food. We like to eat at Shiloh's because it is consistently decent, although it definitely has a small town atmosphere (I agree with the review about bizarre decor) . The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to accommodate my need... More

Shiloh Steakhouse is one of those small town "top-end" restaurants that you are always hoping to find when you are out on a road trip. This is Cortez's version. Great intimate patio, comfy indoors, respectable wine and cocktail list. The menu strays a bit over all the surf-turf areas but these places have to be to keep all the local... More

Came here after recommendation of hotel. Glad we did. I had Elk, a first for me, and it was very pleasant. Service was good. We sat outside, with lights and a pond. Very pleasant. Only minor criticisms .... No background music, so lacked atmosphere; noisy noisy road ! Good meal, and good prices to. Recommended.

We were a bit confused with this place. The decor is very odd. Lots of dark wall colors, with art that must have been from a family member or friend. Nothing flowed or matched. Played a pop music mix in the background, but the local clientele was all folks over 60 except for us. Even our dad felt out of... More

Outstanding steak, great salad, terrific home-made bread, all for very reasonable price. Nice outdoor seating area. Great staff.

I had one of the outstanding meals of my whole vacation here. The homemade bread was excellent as was the steak and the whole meal. Homemade bread adds a rare treat to an already great meal (at least to me it does).

Shiloh Steakhouse is associated with the Shiloh Bakery, which meant that my husband got to enjoy fresh-baked gluten free bread with his dinner. He said it was delicious, and since he has a gluten allergy, he was really happy to be able to have such a treat. He had a rib eye, which was excellent, I enjoyed coconut shrimp that... More

Visited on the 9th and 10th October 2013 during our Travelsphere National Parks tour. Excellent food and drink at reasonable prices. I enjoyed the Elk Steak but all the dishes we tried were delicious. The bread served with your meals is particularly nice. For beer drinkers try the Moose Drool probably my all time favourite US brew!

My family and I had dinner their one of the nights we were in Cortez last week. The parking lot was full so I really didn't want to go and wait to have dinner but there was no wait because they have outside seating which can hold a bunch of people. I was the only person in the family that... More

Excellent dinner. The prices are reasonable and the dinner included salads, side dish, bread and their special jam. The food was delicious. We had steaks, and sat outside on the patio. Surrounded by landscaping and with the gardens, fountains, fish ponds and attractive soft lighting, you'll forget that you are close to the road. We arrived just before closing, but... More
