Very pleasant family-run steakhouse

Interesting facility. A very nice, but traffic-impacted patio. Small, intimate, family-run. The rib-eye steak and sirloin tips were done just right. Fresh home-made bread! Oddly -- and sadly-- their "pasta" side turned out to be spaghetti, not the summer-type salad you would expect.

We stopped in on our road trip and were looking at the mix of reviews. We had high expectations and were a bit road weary when we walked in. There were plenty of seats available for a Saturday evening and we chose to sit by the fish pond. Our server was attentive when we arrived and took our orders promptly.... More

Cute outdoor area in back. Highly recommend. Wouldn't think you would find in Cortez, CO. Excellent dinner. Excellent service. Will go back.

I went here for dinner following a day of hiking. I was seated on the outside patio quickly by a friendly hostess and the server arrived quickly. I ordered the beer battered shrimp with baked potato and a salad. The salad was fine and when the entree arrived it had a huge baked potato. However the shrimp was overlooked almost... More

Good dining experience. We had burgers (beef and elk), both were very good. Nice bread to eat while waiting. Cozy place.

We arrived shortly before closing time (summer hours close at 9pm), but were well attended in spite of a large party outside on the patio. Our meals (Sirloin Tips, Grilled Chicken) were good in spite of being near closing, although the vegetables were a little overcooked. We liked the homey atmosphere and good background music (late 60's/early 70's). The staff... More

This is an odd little place which is associated with Shiloh Bakery next door (so as expected their bread is good). The restaurant itself is fairly small and has a homely feel. The menu is short but offers both seafood and meat. We both opted for the New York strip steaks and they were very good, the steak fries were... More

The bread is delicious. The steak divine. Our server brought gluten free bread to our table for my husband with the little loaf of their table bread for me. Yummy!

The location squeezed in between a bakery and residential house, hidden behind a tree is less than optimal. Waitress was terse rather than gracious. Grilled prawns were adequately cooked but lacked flavor. Patio seating faces busy main road. Prices were a bit high for quality. Coffee was weak (served in clear glass and you could see through coffee). Would not... More
