Very unique food and fast service but dont go at lunch or you'll be competing with all the local business/professionals as they seem to flock there. Food was good, fresh and there was plenty to choose from. NOT for the bland eater as they have a unique blend of items on every plate. more
We decided to eat here based on the reviews on this site and weren't disappointed. The food was fresh and well-prepared. It was also different which is a good thing. 1217 is a triple storefront in a small newer strip center on an otherwise shabby stretch of Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs. It is only open for lunch. It has an odd way of doing business. My favorite place to eat in Hot Springs by far. The best salads in town. I always get the sample salad which is a choice of several salads from the cold case. The rice salad is a must. Really great flavored tea and desserts too! Gotta go here! more
It isn't haute cuisine but it is the closest we've found. Everything is made fresh almost in front of your eyes, including lots of take-home dinner entrees and side dishes and very yummy desserts. I love Cafe 1217 for lunch. I usually get the tomato-basil soup served with great-tasting breadsticks. I can't wait to try more dishes there. more
