Birthday girl's choice for dinner!

Three adult women shared a full tamale spread and we couldn't eat all of it. It was soooo good! Comfort food, pretty spicy, and fun to dig into. We laughed that we felt like 3 Violet Beauregards from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" afterward--not purple, but rolling out of the restaurant... read more

We got a referral from the hotel desk clerk for a good Bar B Que Restaurant in Hot Springs and she recommended McClard's. She said she really liked their Tamale Spread and I thought "That does not even sound good". We got there and it is a small quaint little place with a lot of history. I expected to eat... More

My husband had eaten here some years ago, and was not a big fan. I wanted to give it shot to see what I would think, and my husband wanted to see if his opinion would change. We ordered pork sandwiches. The meat was very finely chopped, which definitely made them messier than most - due to the extremely small... More

Family owned for many years, this place sets the pace for great BBQ of any type. We enjoyed some great brisket, chicken, and the tamale spread. Large portions will fill your tummy and prices are proper for the portions. Great stop. Will make it by here again.

I've ate at McClards for years. Love their Hump Day Chicken dinner, the tamale spread is world famous, and my favorite place for a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I went in this past Wednesday evening. The friendly server recommended the brand new Smoked Sausage. $2 appetizer or could be made a plate dinner. I went with two Smoked Sausage & my... More

We read on the reviews about "brisket tamale spread" and it sounded great, so that is why we were going to McClard's. Now, we are from Texas, so we had a different idea of what brisket tamales are than what they are in Arkansas. We imagined brisket in steamed corn masa, inside a corn husk, because in Texas, that's what... More

Had seen this restaurant on Yelp with really good reviews. Was highly disappointed. I had a chopped pork sandwich. The meat was dry and under seasoned. The barbeque sauce is unique, I didn't care for it, it was too sweet for me. Service just ok, had to wait a while to get check. I would never eat there again.

We ordered a pound of ribs, a pound of sliced beef and pork, slaw, beans, and a tamale pie. The five of us ate and enjoyed sharing it all. It was reasonably priced and they were very accommodating

I ordered ribs to go and they were really juicy with great flavor however I did not like the barbecue sauce at all.... It was runny and lacked that kick.... It was more like tomato sauce with a kick... Yuck, yuck, yuck.... F.Y.I. they're closed on Sunday & Mondays thanks to the business hours posted on the door so don't... More
