Eleanor is the best! Food is fantastic! I come here to eat whenever I'm in the area. I have never been disappointed.
I realize this place is old, and iconic, but that is no excuse for filth. The floor needs a good scrubbing and a coat of wax. The bathroom are outside, and inundated with flys. That said, the service and the food were good. My wife and I split an order of the ribs and frys, and a tamale plate. We... More
I wanted to come here because of all the great reviews, and I must say I was a little disappointed. Maybe we just got some ribs that had been sitting around too long, but they were really dry and almost inedible in places. Hard to eat and leathery. The sauce was great, really tangy and with just enough kick. The... More
When we are in Hot Springs, we would love to try other restaurants, but we just can't. We have to go to McClard's. Just got back and the ribs and frys were fabulous as usual. Love this place. We do try to avoid the noon hour as this place is always packed.
We had visited McClard's a couple years go. We were spending a few days in Hot Springs seeking some relief from the cold temperatures back home. McClard’s barbecue was our lunch choice on one of days there. This is yet another place that has been known for good food for a long time - since 1928 in this case. Between... More
We had heard so much about this long-time Hot Springs staple and were looking forward to our visit. The service was good and the barbecue was, too, but that's about it. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.
Just stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and experienced some of the best BBQ ever. Ribs were awesome and the chipped pork delicious. Try the tamale as a side, tasty. Ask for Linda, she is great.
McClard's is the best BBQ I have ever had! The ribs are awesome. The BBQ sauce is to die for. My husband get the Tamale spread and loved it! This is a must while you are in Hot Springs!
I have eaten at the restaurant more times than I could count. I have to ship their sauce to relatives from coast to coast. This was also one of the last items placed on Air Force One following visits home from President Clinton. Try the Tamale Spread. One of my favorites.
This is the best BBQ in Hot Springs and one of the most historic BBQ places in the region. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. They do not have hot links and only have chicken one day a week but, their ribs and pork are excellent. Their pork sandwich is delicious. If you order the fries you will be served... More
