Small but very good

McClard's Bar-B-Q is a very small place, but worth the wait (if you have to wait) for some really good bar-b-q in Hot Springs. An improvement from years past is they now take credit cards. If you wonder if is good just take a look at the walls and you will see all sorts of people that have enjoyed... read more

We went in during our trip, since we had heard so much about it. The food was good, just not over the top (famous). I would go back, just probably would try something a little different.

Popular with locals and tourists, go early for lunch or dinner because this old fashioned diner style bbq joint fills up fast. Geographically between the southeastern U. S. and the West, McClard's offers both beef and pork. I was given a choice of sliced or chopped. Being a pulled pork girl myself I went with the flow and ordered sliced... More

After hearing all the hype, this Yankee was expecting some killer BBQ. We tried the rib plate with beans and slaw. Enjoyed the slaw, the beans not so much. I liked the BBQ sauce but thought the ribs were a little dry. At home, they fall off the bone, which I like. We split a piece of pecan pie for... More

I have eaten here since I was born and I am 62 years old. We have eaten BBQ all over the U.S. and none compares to McClards. We have eaten what is advertised as BBQ in Montana, Colorado, Kansas, Texas, etc. and have been sorely disappointed. We have eaten at the other BBQ places in Hot Springs and they are... More

Ordered the chopped pork sandwich. Big portion that spread all over the plate. Added their BBQ sauce. It was really spicy hot but tasty. Old and established place that you must try when you visit Hot Springs!

Visited McClard's again this year on our annual trip for the horse races. My very favorite BBQ anywhere!! Always nice to see the familiar faces as well. Long tradition of great food and great service! Can't wait for the next time!!

My wife and I stopped here for lunch today. We ordered a full spread, which is one of their popular menu items. The story from where it came from is nice and listed on the menu. You won't be disappointed, and it's clear why this place was packed the entire time we were there. BBQ sauce has a little kick... More

Small place but delicious BBQ! I had the sliced beef sandwich with all the toppings. It was great! BBQ sauce had a little kick, but it was good. My son had the ham and it was really good too!

If you're into getting out of tourist traps and see a piece of history, then McClard's is for you. Their BBQ is the real deal and this is coming from a Texan who has had some ribs before. The rib plate was filling and the sauce is spicy. They have a unique tamale platter which was more like Frito pie... More
