Something Extra

We visited the Lagniappe Restaurant on two occasions and found the service and food to be very good. Both visits were for specials. The first was the Friday Night Steak. A great steak that was cooked perfect. My wife is a picky eater and she said it was one of the best she has had. The second... read more

Good steak filet, large portions, good service. Problem is, for us older folks, we can't eat all of it at one sitting. For months and months my wife and I would each order the filet, eat what we could and take the rest home for another meal. Then without warning, management decided no longer can anyone take leftovers home! Food... More

I was there for a Wednesday night promotional special (choice of meatloaf or catfish). The catfish had been fried, and put under a heat lamp too long. Green beans were the best part of the meal. Service was slow and unattentive One waitress (I nicknamed her Chatty Cathy) was too busy chatting with customers and bossing around the remaining overworked... More

Much of the food is acceptable but not much more. They frequently serve dishes that are unacceptable - especially the specials that are cut-rate price because of slot play. The point specials are cheap if you don't count the thousand dollars it cost to get the points. I tried the cajun seafood on rice their first offering. It had no... More

We ate here (in the Casino) for the first time and ordered the $25 steak. It was a good piece of beef and cooked properly, but lacked any seasoning. Also, was a little off-put by the fact that our steak dinner was served just a couple of minutes after receiving our salads....don't like to be rushed. Also, the waiter brought... More

Recently enjoyed a wonderful meal. Would have ranked a 5 if not for having to endure the smoke-filled walk through the casino to the restaurant. But our steaks were perfectly cooked and wait staff available but not overly attentive. We had time to enjoy our meal, without needless interruptions. Don't miss the bread pudding and bourbon sauce!

They have a pretty good filet but overpriced. If you have a players card you can get it for a couple of bucks on Friday night, but the catch is you need to have accumulated ninety points on the card. It costs over 24 dollars play for each point, so if the machines are tight (almost always) it could cost... More

We went there after the races on friday night and had a 55 minuite wait. I t was well worth the wait. All 4 of us had the Filets and they were cooked to perfection. Good selection of sides and the bill for 2 was around $50. Get there early because if you earn 90 points on your players card... More

We took a motorcycle group ride from Little Rock to Hot Springs early November, at Saline County Line at Benton in Hwy. 5, over to Scenic Hwy. 7, into Downtown Historic Hot Springs with a stopover for lunch at Lagniappe's Grill at Oaklawn Racing & Gaming-great service by staff and penne pasta was wonderful! Some of our folks had the... More

The buffet is average but the other night they had coconut shrimp on it & it was really good! Wish they would have it more often.
