Sausage Worth Driving Hours For

The Pancake House is one of those diners caught in a time warp, where you can sit at the counter or in a booth under pictures hung 30 years ago. Arrived there about 10 on a Saturday morning and were sent to the shop next door to wait for a table. While we waited (about 15 minutes) we were able to sample various gourmet dips and salsas. The breakfast was great! The portions were large....about 6 slices of bacon, the omelets are light and fluffy, filled with fresh ingredients. The... More

A local recommended The Pancake Shop to us for breakfast, which has been in business for 76 years, opening up in 1940. It is a family owned business handed down for generations. The people were absolutely lovely and the food was delicious. We would go again in a heart beat if we ever go back to Hot Springs.

Yummy & quaint. A good value and the blueberry buckwheat pancakes exceeded expectations. The historic downtown district is excentuated by businesses like Pancake Shop that preserve the essence of Hot Springs.

I've eaten here for at least 50 years. For the last 45, it was to watch my wife smile when she took the first bit of blueberry buckwheat pancakes. She says they are the best anywhere. The sausage patties are wonderful. Your coffee cup will never be empty and you'll be treated like a regular. The service if worst class.... More

Sparks - wow, 50 years……..the restaurant is only 75…..you've made quite a few of those years. You're not alone. Many of our guests have a long history of coming to the Pancake Shop. We appreciate it. I know you meant to say the service is first class based on the remainder of your review. Darn computers!! Sometimes they assume the... More

We went to the Pancake Shop this morning. Very friendly wait staff. The homemade sausage was wonderful. I had the pancakes and they had a special flavor that I've not tasted before. This place is located in the downtown historic area. It's a wonderful place to have a great breakfast. Don't miss this part of Hot Springs.

Long wait, so I expected it to be fantastic, but no one in our group was impressed. ... pancakes weren't good, wife didn't even eat what she ordered, server saw it, and shrugged it off. ... to top it off, it was expensive for breakfast food.
