A bit of history

This was a bit expensive for the atmosphere. Food was good country cooking. Just pancakes, eggs and ham or sausage. They are known for their meat. Almost $9 for a piece of ham was a bit pricey, but it is a large slice that could be shared. Everything is ala cart, so your bill can total up quickly... read more

Very Good Breakfast!! The blueberry pancakes were awesome. The service was Great, just make sure to get there before 8:30am, as it was getting pretty crowded when we left at 9:00am. By the way, the fresh squezzed orange juice was the best!!

Good standard breakfast foods and diner type lunches. There's always a daily special, too. Some of the best waffles/pancakes I've ever had. The sausage patties are also very good.

O.K. We read the reviews about this place, so decided to give it a try. Disappointed! If pancakes are their "specialty", try somewhere else. We each had a short stack, and they were average at best. Service was good as was the coffee. The place is unique inside, have a look around, then you may want to try breakfast elsewhere

The wait in line is absolutely worth it. Old school diner with the most wonderful breakfast you could have. The sounds alone in the place make you think of breakfast. Always come here when in Hot Springs.

Everyone spoke highly of this place so we had to try it. We had pancakes and coffee. The food was good and the service was friendly. We went at 9am on a Friday and had to wait for a table. It is a popular place. The seats are not comfortable at all, but I don't think people linger long enough... More

Huge Pancakes and loved the ham steak - ordered a small ham steak and when i received it was shocked to see how large a portion it was... excellent food and service.

VHailey, glad you enjoyed the Pancake Shop. Ain't that ham a monster. It's Petit Jean and prepared for us locally just as the sausage is. Toss in hand squeezed orange juice, great coffee processed in a 100 year old roaster and, by golly, you have yourself the makings of a great breakfast. Come back again soon. Tina More

We came to the pancake shop with a large group (12) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious, the service quick and friendly, and the menu had something for everyone. I love these quaint breakfast shops and try to find something similar in every town I visit. Loved it!

Going here reminds me of the stories of my great aunt told when she worked as a waitress in a Fifties diner. The place is a little cramped, but you will be glad there are extra tables crammed in. The food is good, we were served rather quickly. The place seems a little dated, but we quickly overlooked it for... More

Houcktj, we really aren't trying to project a dated feel to the place. I wish you had met our owner's mother, Ruth. She was a fixture here at the Pancake Shop until she died at age 84. If you knew her, you would not want this place to change one little bit…….three generations are now enjoying the Pancake Shop. It... More

The title says it all.........Great food and customer service. The seating is limited , the staff does an excellent job of prepping tables for the next customer.
