The old tea factory converted into a hotel is a delightful place. A little away from the main town but good for a visit. The food was great and the setting perfect.

My only complaint would be that there were too many choices of food items. The leg of pork that was served with dinner was best I have ever eaten. With it I had many Sri Lankan curries and sambols. I enjoyed speaking with the young Sri Lankan cooks who stood behind the food stations. They were so eager to explain... More

The Tea Factory hotel and restaurant is a perfectly preserved original tea factory which has been converted into a stunning boutique hotel and restaurant. It is situated nestled among the tea plantations with incredible views, isolated and incredibly serene. The food is carefully prepared and delicious and the service excellent. Definitely worth visiting.

I urge you not to give attention to any of the positive reviews. They are all totally misleading. The food is not worthy for you pets. If you are stuck at the hotel for a night you are forced to dine here since there are no other restaurants you could get to. Either bring your own food or try to... More

We visited tea factory last year July. The hotel design is very attractive and it's really suit for the hotel name. From the booking of this hotel up to check out, we feel happy always. Welcome method is amazing and unique to tea factory. They gave us a nice tea at the welcome. Evening we went to tea plucking and... More

The Tea Factory Hotel was simply astounding ! Its difficult to express in words - the hotel is above the cloud line so one actually drives through the clouds/ mists with the beauty of the hills and tea plantations all around. The actual hotel has retained its historic charm - main lobby has all the machinery etc. along with photographs... More

I have been to many hotels in Sri Lanka and in other countries. I think this serves the best breakfast buffet.

Everything was perfect, from the service to the staff. Most people had the set menus but we chose A la Carte and the food was gorgeous.

An excellent venue for lunch. Good food with very good service. The drive to the Tea Factory is along a very long and winding narrow road and you will see quite a lot of the countryside. We sat down for lunch just as low cloud engulfed the hill top and had a most relaxing afternoon.

We tried the set menu and ala carte but the food was disappointing. The pasta we ordered was tasteless, the meat seems like it was from a can. The set menu steak was way overcooked and the rice and veggies were neither Chinese, Sri Lankan, or western. The two glasses of wine that we ordered were cheap wines with high... More
