There are lots of people here and it fills up fast. About 10-12 tables total. Lots of families and couples. It is very reasonable- $30 USD for tons of Indian food, drinks, etc. I read before going here that it was closed, but it is not.

We were in Nuwara Eliya for two days during our Srilankan tour in September . On the first day we had lunch and on the next day dinner from Grand Indian . Ideally located in front of the Grand Hotel . Food was rich and delicious and served hot . We had roti with chicken and dal makhni with khababs... More

We've been in many Indian restaurants around the world and this one was one of the best. The food was great, try the Paneer Makani! And it was worth the money!

Arrived here about half an hour before it opened for dinner at around 6 (6.30 open) to find a long que ( more like a crowd) outside waiting. We queued until the doors opened to be surprised that it was a rush to a table, every man/woman for themselves. We had a dispute as someone else had sat at our... More

This restaurant has closed. It looks like it will reopen as the Grand Thai restaurant. I don't have anything else to write but this post needed to be over 100 characters.

We were looking for a great place to eat and read good reviews about this place. It's all correct, there might be a wait for a table, we waited half an hour, but the food made it all worth it! Truly great food! Service is up to par as well. Not if you're traveling on a budget but worth every... More

Food is good closest to Indian food. The dosa is very good and so is the sweet lassi. We ordered paneer makhani and the paneer was very hard. However the food overall was good. Recommend going here for a meal

We visited here in January 2014 on 2 occasions and the food was fantastic. The best indian food that i have had recently. the restaurant can get quite busy with large groups, but if you like high quality indian food, then its worth going here. Interior is nice and toilets are very modern and clean. i would happily eat here... More

This place was suggested by our local driver. Had dosa with sambar and chutney. Filling food. Good food. Clean place. Friendly staff and light on pocket. Avoid sitting or waiting out to avoid smoke from people smoking.

Was there with my wife & parents. We were especially looking for North-Indian cuisine and we gor pretty tasty daal, rice, potato wedges. Pretty good refreshment, on a long tiring trip from Yala to Kandy
