Just left the place. The only good thing about the place is the decor. As i was eating alone they kept coming to ask me if i had finished when it was obvious i hadn't. Maybe they don't like one person occupying a table fot 2....their servings are small...i ate all that was there as I normally just have dinner... More

This review is of afternoon tea. The Arab looking owner guy completely ignored us as we were a bunch of women but went around and spoke to every other table. The patisserie were amazing but the savoury options were tasteless and some were definitely plated up in the fridge hours before. The staff were friendly but not very well trained.... More

We arrived for a quick bite to eat just on 3.00pm when there were few patrons. We ordered and waited. Several other people came in, ordered and were served their meals well before us. We were with our guide ( there were only 3 of us in total). He asked several times about our meals and our drinks. Our drinks... More

Great indian food. Don't miss the Idly (mixed rice and white lentils puffs originated in South India). The desert was very disappointing - we ordered the Gulab Ice cream, but although they charged for it 400 R, they serve one tiny ball with simple super market vanilla ice cream.

There are lots of people here and it fills up fast. About 10-12 tables total. Lots of families and couples. It is very reasonable- $30 USD for tons of Indian food, drinks, etc. I read before going here that it was closed, but it is not.

We were in Nuwara Eliya for two days during our Srilankan tour in September . On the first day we had lunch and on the next day dinner from Grand Indian . Ideally located in front of the Grand Hotel . Food was rich and delicious and served hot . We had roti with chicken and dal makhni with khababs... More

We've been in many Indian restaurants around the world and this one was one of the best. The food was great, try the Paneer Makani! And it was worth the money!

Arrived here about half an hour before it opened for dinner at around 6 (6.30 open) to find a long que ( more like a crowd) outside waiting. We queued until the doors opened to be surprised that it was a rush to a table, every man/woman for themselves. We had a dispute as someone else had sat at our... More
