Small daily menu, fresh food and excellent service. I had the broccoli, mushroom, cheese quiche with an apple and grape salad. Hubs had a bbq pork/cold slaw wrap with split pea soup. Both meals were under $10. Simple and yummy. The restaurant is around the block from Hoover ' s Presidential... read more

A very special place! It is around the corner from the Herbert Hoover Museum, another great place. I had a Quiche made by Jonathan. It is small, down-home, but perfect for the area. Also had a apple pie which had great crust and great topping. Visit the NPS of Hoover as well.

Stopped there on the last leg of a long vacation trip. This is a very small shop tucked away in a small town. There is no menu everything being served for the day is written on a board when you walk in the door. I'm pretty sure the meals change from day to day so recommending a favorite is pretty... More

Stopped in West Branch on a whim to see the Hoover birthplace, stayed through lunch. Stopped in Reid's Beans to get coffee and discovered they serve gourmet lunch. They have quiche everyday, and it was delicious!! My youngest couldn't find anything in the menu (it only has about 5 choices) but the owner whipped her up a chicken and cheese... More

We were greeted quickly asking if we were there for lunch and then shown the lunch menu on a chalk board...about half a dozen choices...when we knew what we wanted we were seated at a table and our order was taken....our beverages and lunches were served quickly and the owner visited our table to make sure all was to our... Tucked off I-80 in the charming town of West Branch, Iowa is Reid's Beans. A small, friendly, cozy place. The coffee is good! The breakfast menu offered many healthful choices: we had quiche and french toast. Don't be in a hurry, just sit back and enjoy the camaraderie.

Owned by people who really enjoy what they are doing, which is making fresh food that tastes good. I tried the seafood tacos last visit. Always trepidation, ordering seafood so far inland, but the payoff was excellent. I may have had better shrimp tacos in Baja, but not by too awful much. A couple having lunch there this last visit... Conveniently located near the Hoover Presidential Library which we visited, we ate here based on Trip Advisor reviews. My wife had a beet salad, I had a pork wrap and we shared a piece of fresh peach pie. The ingredients are fresh and the food is all made in-house. Service was a little slow, but not unexpected for a small... More

Quaint little spot, offers coffee and lunch plates. Can't handle a big crowd because it is so small. Found it very hot and comfortable inside. Little tables with antique chairs paled really close together, not comfortable for conversations without hearing others or being overheard. Staff did not greet us when we came in -- they almost seemed peeved like ti... More

We came to town to watch a friend in the Bear race and ate here after. We had a croissant bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it was delicious. I'm not a coffee drinker but my wife enjoyed hers. The fruit that came with the sandwich was fresh and very good as well. We will be back if we find... More
