I went to this place with my girlfriend and a few other friends after the Independence Uncorked winefest. We all had a great time and enjoyed our food. I do recommend that unless you are super hungry to split your meal since the portions are too much for one person to eat. The gelato desert was delicious.

This was our group's choice for lunch after a visit to the Truman Library. We were seated immediately, the restaurant was not very busy. The server seemed overwhelmed but our group (we did have 8 ). Our server was polite and anxious to please but had to check on many details that he should have known. We were informed that... More

We had just gotten into town and needed to eat. After talking to our host at the Bed an Breakfast she recommended this restaurant! Great marinara sauce ! My husband liked the lasagna and I had shrimp, clams, lobster in marinara sauce. Reasonably priced and easy to get to!

The food is good, the atmosphere/decor is nice. We've been with out of town guests and it hit a nice blend of comfort and sophistication.

Just the bread dipped in olive oil with grated Parmesan is enough to bring us back! Try the spinach salad with Italian tuna and grilled fennel. Served in the courtyard, it's the perfect summer meal..

The atmosphere is really good, as was the service. The food was good, but pricey and somewhat limited for lunch. I can see how this would be a great place for a special occasion or date.

My husband and I save Cafe Verona for Special Occasions not because it is expensive -- it is NOT - but because it is more "special" than other restaurants in Independence area. Every dish we have ordered has been outstanding. Setting has much more atmosphere than most area restaurants. Service is efficient, pleasant, but not bothersome. Banquet seating feels more... More
