Great Pre-Game

Headed to KC Royals game and had time to eat first. Only a mile from stadiums. Good tasting chili and big portions for good price. Not healthiest options, but one can do worse. A few had chili footlongs and I had spaghetti chili. All was good. Diner atmosphere, nothing fancy, focus on food... read more

Chili is excellent and cream pies are delicious. The meal was very reasonably priced and I ate there twice in one week.

Chili? It is not what I typically think of as chili. If you like a pile of plain cooked ground meat, this is your place. I do not like their food. Sadly, I think I would rather eat a can of chili. To many this establishment is an institution...to each their own.

I have not been to Dixon's in years and a friend suggested we go during my recent visit. This must be the only one left. Lots of history associated with this restaurant. The chili has not changed although it appears to have more on the menu than what I remember. The chili was great! Service was excellent!!

We have a way of visiting different dining locations, started 2015 we are doing 2 restraunts a month. Feb was our "C & D" leading us to "D"ixon's Chili Parlor. It was a very good experience, the food was fresh and tasty. I had a double cheeessssy burger, great quality of meat, very flavorful. My husband had unlimited tacos, meaty... More

So glad I came here, Thank You Trip advisor :o) this place has its own unique vibe, relaxing, inviting & homey! It's very clean and while it is a step back in time ~ it's a very comfortable one. Today I had the all you can eat tacos for $6.95, they were very good, all 7 of them and yes... More

They have bottomless Tacos baskets and Cheeseburgers as well (no fries available) but I can only speak for the Chili. They make it with 0 fat in the meat, Solid red chili beans and I recommend getting the Optional Cubed Onions and Shredded Cheddar Cheese. Service is wonderfully quick and for the amount of meat that is served in the... More

Been coming here for 30+ years. Never had anything bad. My favorite is the all u can eat daily taco special.. it is the bomb! They are known for chili.. it comes in many different ways. Pick and choose your fav and then add onions and cheese.. you will not regret it! See you there.... :)

This is a great little restaurant and has the best chili. I didn't get the cooks name but he was right on with everything, servers calling out orders and reorders ( did I mention all you can eat tacos)? and this man never missed a beat the he was working register when we left, he definitely deserves a raise. Will... More

Absolutely if it is Dixons. The same family has used the same recipe since 1900! This chili is what a NuWay is to a hamberger. No where close. It is not made with tomatoes or onions. Is is layers of red beans, lean crumbly ground beef and "secret spices. No sauce but you can have it soupy with beef juice... More
