My Sweetheart and I stayed in a hotel near the Courthouse Square in Independence, and were able to slip into Ophelia's before the kitchen closed on a Friday night. She had excellent salmon and I had the pork medallions and it was all delicious. The service was excellent, too. Because we arrived late we were the last to leave, but... More

An awesome dining experience! From prawns & grits to the brick chicken, each bite sent my taste buds into overdrive! A window seat provides a spectacular view if the courthouse! Fresh, original & nice presentation!

Ophelia's specializes in the martini, and they offer quite a variety of them. Their food is elegant and good, and it's the most upscale place to dine in the Independence Square area. The atmosphere is nice, and they offer a good variety of options to suit all tastes and diets.

Partner and I ate here 3 times since September 20th. The first occasion was on the 20th. Ryan was our waiter. He could be better trained. In response to our “Thank you” he said “No problem”. He served the male diner before the female diner. He opened an ordered bottle of wine out-of-sight of our table. The brick chicken was... More

The Sunday buffet/brunch was excellent. Even my picky Mom raved about the food. For $16, you can't beat it. The wontons and the sweet chili salmon got very high marks from me. The desserts could've been improved, but the creme brulee was great.

I had lunch with two friends at Ophelia's. We were greeted and quickly seated. We ordered the sweet potato chips for an appetizer and they were good for a lunch appetizer. I had the Bleu cheese wedge salad, which was good but not the greatest salad I've ever had. My friends both had the crab sandwich with the roasted red... More

A great choice. Stopped in at lunch time and had a delicious meal, excellent service in an upscale environment . When in Independence skip the chains & visit here.

Everything we had was delicious. This is fine dinning in a comfortable setting. The black rice was especially good and was great pared with chicken or seafood.

This restaurant has the appearance of being an upscale great place to go. The food was good, however, my wedge salad had no resemblance to a wedge. It was 4 pieces of lettuce with blue cheese and bits of bacon. My biggest complaint was the service. The waitress knew nothing about the menu. When you questioned her about the soup.... More

How lucky our family of four was to choose this restaurant for lunch before touring the Harry and Bess Truman house. The menu was quirky and excellent, service was quick and superb. We started with the Smoked Chicken and Chorizo Dip with chips and it was excellent. I call the menu quirky, because I ordered the Twisted Quesadilla, not knowing... More
