The pulled pork was very good for it's tenderness and taste but the restaurant itself had a rather generic restaurant atmosphere as apposed to a true pit-BBQ joint. I therefore found the atmosphere to be somewhat lacking but other diners might prefer it's clean and standard look.

I'm from Florida, and we think we have a good barbecue in Florida. Wanted to try barbecue in Kansas City Missouri. Went to Smokehouse BBQ for lunch on Friday. I ordered the baby back ribs and they were very good. They were falling off the bone which is the true mark of good baby back ribs. I would get them... More

June 7 2014 Ordered for two adults and 3 children. I've never written a review because this is how awful it was. I ordered beef briskets, beans, french fries and toast. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich. I took a couple bites of my brisket slices and they were cold not to mention very bland. No taste whatsoever and the deeper... More

We arrived about 7 p.m. on a Wednesday night. Restaurant wasn't extremely busy, we were seated promptly. However, we waited a long time to be greated by a server who came to take our drink order. She said that she was helping our server out and he would be right with us. Waited another 10 minutes, then another lady showed... More

I had the burnt ends(beef and pork) beans and veggies with tea for lunch. The server had perfect timing, the beef portion of the ends were excellent, pork good, veggies were pretty good, and the tea was excellent.

Some members of our party questioned the 'burnt tips' as they weren't the same as they've had elsewhere. Our server was great, kept our drinks topped of and was very friendly.

Our latest visit was for lunch. The decor inside is dark wood and Tiffany-style lamps. I had the Super Crispy which is a tender chopped burnt end sandwich on a toasted French roll with French fries and their fantastic Hickory Pit Beans. Everything is very tasty including their sauces. They also have several options you can choose from to have... More

The servers are always friendly and service is excellent! The food is wonderful! I've eaten here many times. My favorite is the "Super Crispy". I also like their beans!

Very good food. Only thing I wish, is that they had a sweet BBQ sauce. I like it sweet & none of theirs is. Don't like it Spidey either. Good meat choices tho.

Based on family recommendations we stopped here after a tour of the Truman Library. You knew it was a BBQ joint when you walked up to the front door. This was our second stop on our BBQ vacation. My wife had the Burnt End Platter (combo beef and pork) and I had the Rib Plate Special. Both were very good.... More
