Authentic Indonesian adn excellent Thai food

I always visit this place when I came to Bali. The Indonesian food quiet expensive but the taste was authentic and very tasty. But, I prefer Thai food here. Especially for Pad Thai and Tom Yum. And the fried wrapped chicken (I forgot the name). Cafe Degan always makes me miss Bali. :)

Having first visited here a few months ago with a group I was eager to visit again with just the two of us. Often you get a very different experience in some places from night to night, group to group. I really enjoyed my first visit. How would the second go? We arrived at 9.30 Sunday night and I was... This restaurant serves up some good Javanese food - good quality and well-cooked. Service is also good. Worth a try.

Chef Degan gained national recognition when he became a Judge on Masterchef Indonesia. But his culinary experience has surpassed his national fame. So I was actually looking forward to a quick lunch here a few weeks ago. Food wise, it was a less spicy version of Indonesian cuisine and a more lively version of the Thai dishes.

I don't like writing bad reviews, but I hope management reads this and tries to improve its establishment. Recently some friends and I visited Cafe Degan for dinner. I used to frequent this place for lunch and dinner - but it had been closed for a while for renovation, so I was happy to return when it re-opened. While the... More

We had the rawon and daging cabe hijau and would definitely come back for it...btw you can ask for white rice as much as you want ... The heavy touch of javanese in the interior design and traditional javanese song makes also makes us... More

Great restaurant! We've been coming here for a few years now, and the quality is consistent. Food looks and tastes great! Gulai kambing and the squid are highly recommended! Personel is very friendly and welcoming, it's a shame that we are sometimes the only people having diner here...
